PC with USB only 3.0 does not allow me to use fastboot

windows 8 is, for now I tried the bootloader mode only with my old htc one s, my new htc one I still have to connect it to the PC in bootloader mode
that one S definitely has way too old of an Hboot version. It wasn't until the 4.4 updates that the One had a version of Hboot that works with windows 8.
If you need to use fastboot on older HTC devices [or a One that isn't updated] your best bet is another PC or a Virtual Machine running Windows 7.

Have you try rear usb ports?
What type of motherboard you use? USB 2.0 is provided on each motherboard that I know.
this is my new pc and does not work. Before I had a pc with windows 8 but with the USB 2.0 ports and worked with the fastboot mode usb bootloader
