Sorry if this may be a dumb question, but how will ICS being out on our device not help them make a fully working cm9? I thought one of the reasons why it had no data, was because they don't have the proper sources yet?

I always appreciate a correction but a little more information wouldn't hurt :)

Sure when ics will be out it will help them, that's why they don't want to loose the time with development for now since new sources are coming soon.;)

the rom is not booting up... its stuck on the fxp logo!
whats wrong?

step 4(on device) 4.1 - when FreeXperia Logo appears and amber light will be lit press several times volume key to enter recovery
4.2 - in recovery choose "INSTALL ZIP FROM SDCARD" and select update-XXX-XXX-XXX.zip (rom)
4.3 - in recovery choose "INSTALL ZIP FROM SDCARD" and select gapps-xxx-xxx.zip (gapps addon)
4.4 - wipe device (this is needed only if you come from another ROM, if you are upgrading an CM9 release this is not needed unless is specified)
4.5 - reboot device

Did you install the 2 zip files first? Won't work..

First wipe everything, then install the rom and it will boot :)

Hi Guys,
I'm willing to try the cm9 experience on my xperia s but I'd like to know if it's worth the try.
Basically I'm more concerned on how stable it is for a daily use.
The other think like hmdi, ant, etc doesn't really worries me.
Thanks in advance

Stable version will come when Sony releases 3.x kernel sources. Until this happens we have freezed the code. Many things are already fixed in background but without phone functions its no need to run the rom.
After the copyleft is out we can fix modem and then we resume this ROM.
