Hi. I'm new to my Nexus 5 and this forum. I purchased an UNLOCKED Nexus 5 directly from Google. I watched the CF video multiple times (actually watching it as I'm following the video instructions. As with my previous Android device, I'd like to foot this new Nexus.
I have WINDOWS 8.1. I scanned, then unzipped the CF-root download, selected the Windows file and the screen does appear on my desktop.
I have the phone in the Fastboot mode, but can't seem to go any farther. The message I'm getting is that it's "waiting for my device." Obviously, my USB cable is attached.
LOCK STATE = locked. I cannot type anything in the screen; just to hit any key to continue - that's when the message appears about waiting for the device.
I'd like to finish the rooting process for this new device ASAP. Does anyone have any suggestions? Possibly, I'm missing something.
