Time for another fast paced release...

This time we have not only optimized/speedup most of the features in 4/4.2 to perfection including our core framework but as usual included a bunch of new features. Also most previous bugs have been fixed!

As usual read Changelogs, download and Enjoy!

Wondering what SmartCapture is?

PS: Bug reports without Logs will be ignored as usual

Is there a way of getting the spam message option similar to stock MMS apk? Did use that feature.

Hmm..i'm trying to boot into the last version, but seems that it's stucked at the slim bean logo.
I have the TWRP recovery and i wiped all the internal storage before installing.
I tried several times, reflashing the rom, but i'm still here.

EDIT: tried again and again: it's ok now.
EDIT 2: but camera doesn't work :(

Google Play unusable since update

Every attempt at updating apps returns a 'can't connect with server' error.
Have cleared data and cache and rebooted...no help.
Have reinstalled gaaps...no result either.

As i said before - same story was for me, when i updated rom with wiping cashe and dalvik cashe. After clean install gplay working fine.So maybe its a problem with addon (Upgrade_build.4.to.5.Slim_Gapps)....

The Camera didn't work initially, but did after flashing Redpill Kernel.

The ROM is effing awesome and I have nothing but praises and gratitude for the team! I will always be indebted to you for your work and will definitely contribute in the future.

Am having to live with 241dpi and "huge" font size for these old eyes. , cause can't get Google Play to work otherwise. Wierd. It's happened before but always managed to eventually work.
It'd be nice to have an option (aroma?) for dpi.
Question:


The "force Gpu" is on by default. I leave it because that's what how the dev designed it...
Question tho I assume that it enhances the overall speed of the Rom correct. Don't really see a difference...and read this morning that battery is enhanced with it off.
Any comments on that?

    So this is Slim Bean 4.2.1 OFFICIAL release. This is a new base as we have started from a completely clean slate AOSP source and included most of our features within.

    NEW BASE FULL WIPE RECOMMENDED!!!

    By downloading this ROM, you accept the fact that you understand that your device will not magically have more RAM or CPU power

    Also keep in mind that this is RC software features and performance will vary as we get closer to the stable releases.

    BUG REPORTING?
    • Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
    • If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)

    Another Quality Release from SlimRoms... now at SlimBean 4.2.2 Build 3!


    Some thoughts to ponder upon:
    • Smart control in Gallery, is a S4 inspired feature that is for fun and maybe some bragging rights amongst your friends!
    • As you all know S/W HDR was all messed up... So we removed it for the time being. If you still need it badly, there is Play Store where everything is available ;)
