I'm having trouble after following op again, I'm not running any aosp based roms.
*edit got reports that it is working on verizon...but waiting for details
i'm not sure what i did wrong but i follow all the steps and can't seen to get it to work. the phone won't even boot up after i edit the build.prop. it just stuck at the black screen after the Galaxy S3 screen. I'm using tmobile stock rom rooted.
got all of it done up to adding the card. Then it just says "error adding card try again later". any ideas? i'm on t-mobile running free s3
Working great thanks. Nfc still works tested it with tag in car. After putting original build.prop back it still works. One note ...recommended backing up the nfc XML file in system/etc and the 3 ngc libs in system/lib with root explorer that the patch replaces in case you want to go back to stock.

Quick question, is this the latest version of Wallet?
I have flashed a modded apk from the nexus forums and it's working fine, however I am constantly reminded that there is an update.
try this one, added a couple things that might be needed

Try the following:
***Note*** If the ROM your are flashing is TouchWiz-based for step 5 you need to flash one of the below for your device BEFORE step 6 and then continue.
- Force Stop on Wallet app
- Clear Cache and Clear Data on Wallet app (in Application manager)
- Delete all traces of it from both locations /system/app and /data/app/ (might be called Wallet.apk too)
- Reboot
- [OPTIONAL] Flash a fresh version of your AOSP-based ROM (no wipe required)***
- Push the apk from this link and set the permissions (DO NOT OPEN IT YET!!)
- Reboot
- Open the Wallet app and set everything up
- Check what Tap and Pay says in "About" section of the app
- Confirm what happens on transaction

Changed the lines, forced stop, cleared the data, deleted the com.google.android.apps.wallet folder in /data/data, rebooted and it went through. I am not sure that all the other steps were necessary but I did so just in case there was a trigger stored in a data file somewhere.
