does anyone know where i can get some nice korean language icons and the like?
@blaze_23
Of course the T-store is in korean and a little hard to navigate if you don't read Korean but maybe google can help.
how long does it take to flash via Odin? Im trying to flash right now via Odin (since my Kies method always fails) and it seems it takes too long to be stuck on "setup connection" status on Odin... any help? Thanks!
I have a problem with handscent sms apps..i think its the split 160 issue..
when i txt 145++ char.. but below 160 char..it wond send..it just keep loading and loading..
I had to input my 주민등록번호 (Korean Social Security Number) to download stuff from T-Store. Not sure if the T-Store will be available in other countries. Did the rest of of you have to?
SMS questions have been fielded several times here. You'll find that although Korean service providers split SMS by 80 chars (then send it as an MMS), an MMS is the same charge as an SMS. No additional messaging charge for large texts/media (unless your sending over 3g, then you use your data plan too). Another issue we have is that there is no way for us to turn off the default SMS application, thus not a lot of us use handcent here.
What are you looking for? for icons to show up with Korean text? If you have our phone it will translate many apps into Korean if you enable the locale, but then your phone is in Korean.
A more flexible way would be to have something along the lines of an app or launcher (I use LauncherPro Plus). LauncherPro might work and there are other alternatives that would allow you to rename the application icons. Then, type in Hangul to get the names you want, I actually kind of want this now that you've said that.
Another alternative would be to download apps that don't support English, those would have Korean text in most cases. I have a few of those.
Some apps can be downloaded that don't support English, and therefore will have a bit of hangul at the bottom.

now you dont understand my problem..my problem is this..if i send a txt below 140 char...it will send..if more than 140(on the first 160 char set)..it keeps loading only..but if i send more than the 2nd set(the 2nd 160 char set)..it will send also..the only problem is 140-160...more than 160(2nd set of 160 char.)..it will send..below 140 it will also send..
I saw this screenshot a while back and want to do something similar..Perhaps its just a matter of whipping up some icons in PS..but i dunno if anything id make would be as cool lol
Yes, I used my wife's info, and no, I don't think T-Store will be available internationally as it is primarily a Korean service.

Speaking of which.. alovel.. I think you misinterpreted my point about corrupted backups. I'm not worried about the backup becoming corrupted while it sits there; it's on the internal sd. I'm worried about once you already have corrupt data.. then you auto backup.. then your backup is also corrupt.
My misunderstanding..lets chalk up another novel sms issue. Haven't heard of this one yet so I'll let anyone else take a stab. In the mean time I'll do some reach on it.
Sent from my SHW-M110S using XDA App
wow I've had the new market a couple of weeks probably (but it must just be that I updated it unwittingly). Yeah.. the more button stinks.. they had to make room for the big green add space. I'm back to the old one with the factory reset though. Don't know how long that will last.
thanks.i dont know whats the problem between 140-160 char sms(1st set)..it just cant send its message..
Final Solution:-Other methods deleted by Mod
Mod Edit: While I understand that the purpose of this guide is to help those who have lost their IMEI's while flashing ROMS, this opens up a whole new can of worms as far as what can be done with it. The outcome is illegal in most countries in fact. Sorry.

Using Repair Kit to Unbrick M110SFirst stage :- For every Stage of Flashing RESTART ODIN and always use Fresh ODIN
1) download repair kit and unzip it (you will have 6 tar files)
2) put phone into download mode after battery pull
2) run odin and select m110s.pit under PIT (Re-partion option will be automatically ticked)
3) select M110S-PDA-PHONE-MOVI-REV03-DG23-1409-USER.tar.md5 under PDA
4) connect phone and Press start (within 10 min your phone will reboot into Eclair Firmware)
you will have a fully working phone after this, only needs further updates, so continue to stage 2
Second stage:-
1) put phone into download mode after battery pull
2) run odin select S1_KOR_DE09.pit under PIT (make sure you UNTICK the re-partition option in Odin)
3) select M110S-BOOT-DG23-1409.tar.md5 under CSC
4) connect phone and press start (within a few min phone will reboot)
Third Stage:-
1) put phone into download mode after battery pull
2) run Odin select M110S-NPS-IMAGE-REV03-DG23-1409-USER.tar.md5 under PDA
3) selct M110S-PHONE-REV00-DG24.0151_Develop.tar.md5 under PHONE
4) Connect Phone and select start ( within few min phone will reboot )
Fourth Stage:-
Your Phone is currently running its FIRST out of the box Firmware used in 2010 , so now you need to upgrade to the latest 2012 Stock ROM or Custom ROM of your choice so repeat Flashing Procedure to upgrade to Latest Firmware
IF unable to complete repair procedure
Final Solution:-
After receiving many requests for help, concerning stage 2 of the repair procedure, Failing or unable to complete as it gets stuck on Boot-loader upgrade or similar
My advice is to proceed to stage 4, meaning you Flash a Latest stock or custom after the Eclair ROM, this will solve the issue and you would be able to USE the phone .
so if it get stuck after stage 1 ( meaning phone functions using the oldest ROM ) , just continue to stage 4 and flash the latest ROM
