Not sure,.. but i think theme systems can cause more problems than goods.
At least happening with Atrix etc.

I personally wouldn't bother with themes.

Better to concentrate on stability updated and performance.

What kind of button , red, blue,.. this and that,... what wallpaper,.. blue, tree, this and that,.. who cares about that? :)

Yea, last time I used a theme was when I used CM7 on my phone months ago, and that was cause ICS wasn't stable on my device yet but I liked the look of it.
That was the only time I bothered with themes.

But w/ mods like the AOKP settings, I use those all the time since they're there. I like having the 5 button nav bar and being able to longpress for even more shortcuts. Right now I have technically seven buttons on my nav bar on my phone :D

Yeah. Or the theme system is well done, or the rom may get slower.
I guess I'm going back to the first idea.
Adding your own icons like battery, wifi, etc and choose them in megatron parts.

I don't know if that's a request, but i'll add it anyway :D

A LOT of people care about that. I for one am looking forward to a functioning theme engine. I used to use it all the time when I was running CM7 on my nook color. It's one of the things I miss the most in CM9.

I am making a theme system, it is working but i can only change images for now (except app icons). I think colors are the only thing missing in my theme system. But as I said before, the rom may get slower (the performance looks the same here), so I ask you, what are the things that you would like to customize? So I can make each of that things individually customizable (so you can mix different "themes" without making a new one)

Is this going to be optional, i mean whole mixing/theming/ feature,... hope its not gonna affect performance nor anything else.

It's going to be like choosing the battery icon, but with more choices. So it doesn't affect performance, unless the theme system is global, then there may exist a minor performance decrease in opening apps(although I'm not noticing any right now). That's why I asked what thing users want to be customizable.

I personally like the overall system theme to match the buttons and icons. For instance if I had red nav buttons, I like the settings menu and the notification area to have red highlights.

I certainly isn't a deal breaker. The ROM rocks without it :D.

Just don't use the options if you're afraid you're gonna take a performance hit. Having the option there isn't going to mess with anything until you use it.

I'm still running one of the earlier cornerstone builds even though I follow the thread pretty daily. I don't post much cuz it works great for me but oh the agony of reading all about the new features ahh screw it I'm gonna go for the 4.0.4 Go and get my Megatron on. Thanks Ricardo your the man. I'll post any issues but I doubt I'll have any although I did see you post about tryna get cornerstone back in the future at some point.

It is a really cool feature although I seem to be using it less unless I wanna show it off.:D

I believe the OP wanted to know if the version 16 kernel that's displayed in megatron parts is the same as the latest 16B version out now. I don't see version 16B listed on the megatron download links site. I don't believe megatron 16=16B. The dev probably hasn't had the time to update.. If anyone else knows, please let us know.

This is my first experience with flashing a custom rom on my transformer. After digging through multiple guides on xda to root and add CWM on it (I'm a noob) all went flawlessly and I was pretty damn pleased. I use megatron in combination with Guevnor test 16b kernel.

Megatron has been running for 2.5 days now without reboot or SOD, it is still to early to tell if those problems have really vanished for me, since my record on stock was about 4 days!

The system feels much snappier than stock and I'm very pleased with it. I used setcpu to overclock to 1400MHz which helps speed it up even more.

I do have a battery drain issue. The device drains almost 2% per hour. I checked with cpu spy and see that when the device is doing nothing, it goes in some semi-deep sleep. It is 50% sleep, 50% 216MHz. This is probably causing the draining. This morning i turned on system panel to monitor if some program is causing it to go out of deep sleep every now and than.

Do any of you have any tips on what else might cause this drain?

I have a B60 tab with B70 dock

Furthermore, I noticed that after deep sleep it takes quite a while for the system to check the dock battery. Like 30 seconds or so. First I thought it completely drained, but it just takes a while to check. Is this normal?

i think the delay in dock battery to show is normal. even im having that delay when coming from deep sleep.

is the kernel in megatron server updated to 16b or is it still 16. i find the 16 buggy.

Sent from my Transformer TF101

Yes. The dock battery is normal and is happening in all AOSP roms, but in the next version will be fixed.
And the delay waking up, is due to guevor's kernel

And i didn't update the kernel in megatron parts, there seems to be users with more problems and users with less problems. I'll test it myself and then update in megatron parts

About the battery drain I experience

In the guevor kernel topic there are more users who experience this behavior. It seems that with kernel 16 and 16b there is a drain issue, not with 15. I will try to flash 15 tonight and see if it has helped.

ricardo really listens to the users, and he has some great ideas where he is workig on, its a top dev for sure !
I concur concerning the CM9 Megatron build. It is by far the best ROM running at this point. :)
This is by far the most stable and consistent ICS ROM released so far. Damn good work Ricardo! :)
Took this weekend to test other roms and no surprise, Megatron is the winner hands down!
I mean, second place is so far back that it is unexplainable!
    Great work!

The cornerstone build is still the old CM9 (4.0.3) because it is not compatible with 4.0.4, so it doesn't have the new features

This rom is using stock kernel.
Other kernels available in the link below

If you come from the previous CM9 rom with a custom kernel, you have to download it again through the new link because i've made some changes

I'm really really sorry guys, but i've been really really busy.
I'm not dropping support on Megatron, i've just been really busy.

But now i'm going to start working on CM10 and see how it goes, so Megatron next update will be with CM10. And it's going to take a while because many things have changed since i left.
Also, now i'm not going to be so active on the forum as i was in the beginning.
    13
Ricardo, how is going on the development? I´m missing some Megatron´s update

I've been busy with other things, but i'm putting more features into the rom and i plan to have a new version this week.
    12
Also I see there is a few more nightly roms up for our cm9 im wondering if any of the changes will be integrated into megatron if any of the fixes or optimization's have not already been done in 1.0.4 before the cm9 team could start work

Either way looking forward to the next release :)

Sent from my Transformer TF101 using XDA Premium HD app

Yes, next version will have updated cm9 code.

Hey Ricardo, everything alright ? long time no hear from you
If you are taking a break, you earned it man, enjoy it ! ;)

    Everything is fine.
I've been busy these days with school things, but I'm also slowing the development a bit(nothing to worry about). This rom is not the only thing in my life (but it is a big part of it).
And yesterday I upgraded my Ubuntu to 12.04, so I was out of the PC for some time.

I want to release the rom as soon as possible, but is must be stable.
I've been improving it (mainly the upcoming theme system).
Now I just need to finish it, update the cm9 code, implement the new feature in megatron parts, test them and release.

Edit: CM9 ported the T-Mobile theme engine to ics.
    So much work for nothing
