Mini-Pro is problematic, because the hardware keyboard will be false :/
I can provide you the nordic firmware, but then you would have some scandinavian letters ...

Regards
Bin4ry

Well, I just proofed the problematic result...the touch screen doesn't work any more.
Could you please upload the nordic firmware? Thanks.

I found the very first time I tried this I didn't press "any key" fast enough once I plugged the phone in in Flash mode, it gave some code then started to turn on and booted into 1.6.. (fail)
The second time I was a lot faster with the "any key" and it worked fine. (success!) :D
(I was the first one to try this on the mini so my heart was beating at 1000bpm.. I didn't know 100% if it would work.. but luckily for me Bin4ry writes a mean program and it did)

so if you have problems try pressing the "any key" a little earlier.

hope that helps.

Bin4ry should have a lot of beers heading his way.. come on! he deserves it!

hi i am trying to flash my x10 mini (not pro) on a laptop running win 7 32bit. I installed java from here:

cds.sun.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/WFS/CDS-CDS_Developer-Site/en_US/-/USD/ViewProductDetail-Start?ProductRef=jdk-6u22-oth-JPR@CDS-CDS_Developer

when run the bat file, press 3, plug in the phone in flash, it seems like it works but only for a second, then i stops for maybe 30s - 60s and writes what you can see in the screenshot. (the logfile didn't include the last part for some reason thats why i made the screendump)

hope someone had the same problem and solved it! :D

help man..:':)'(

Hi,

With the flashtool you should be able to flash the phone to newst 2.1 Firmware.

I never tryed it yet, so somebody must play guinea pig!

Download flashtool:
http://www.multiupload.com/D2HUTL9CCA

Download X10 mini 2.1 firmware: (thanks to stillka)
http://www.multiupload.com/GM4VW1LNVV

NOTE THIS IS ONLY FOR MINI NOT FOR MINI PRO!!

Now put the firmware files in "firmware" directory of flashtool (overwrite loader.sin) and run X10flash.bat and follow instructions!

Note: You have to disable Vista/7 UAC! If not you are running in problems !

Regards
Bin4ry

Right, are you 2 connection in flashmode ?
Power Off Phone -> Press Back Button -> Plug the USB WHILE holding back button -> Release back button when green led is on!

if it wont work, look in X10 forums. This problem is common.
I'm going to sleep now.

1).Power off
2).Presss <- [Back] button and Hold
3).Plug to usb

Result :
- Green Led "On" while pressing hold back button, but the phone getting On while releasing back button,..

just make sure you have unzipped the mini.rar (using winrar or other zip tool) and placed all the un zipped files in the firmware folder of X10flash-2.1 (overwriting loader.sin)
when you plug the phone in (holding down the back button) don't be too slow pressing a key to start the flash..
if you have done all of this then it should work.. (it worked second time for me)

I have some of the same errors with java as some other people here.

I have window 7 64 bit. But first i only used 32 bit java becouse im using firefox.

Then i just had a error saying:

Please choose:
1.) 32-Bit Windows XP
2.) 64-Bit Windows XP
3.) 32-Bit Windows Vista/7
4.) 64-Bit Windows Vista/7
Please choose: (1-4): 4
please connect Xperia in flash mode.
Press any key to continue . . .
'java' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
Press any key to continue . . .

Then i opened explorer (64bit) and downloaded java 64bit. (note: you can only download java 64bit in a 64bit browser)

But then i just got a error saying:

Please choose:
1.) 32-Bit Windows XP
2.) 64-Bit Windows XP
3.) 32-Bit Windows Vista/7
4.) 64-Bit Windows Vista/7
Please choose: (1-4): 4
please connect Xperia in flash mode.
Tryk på en vilkårlig tast for at fortsætte . . .

So i dont realy think the flash tools works great with 64bit OS.

Im going to try another computer tonight when i visit my dad. I'll get back to you if it works.

I even live in Denmark, but i dont think my phone is nordic. Where can i find out btw? I could only find; Basebandversion: Unknow. :S

If everything else fail i guess i just have to wait :(

You have to use 32-Bit JAVA! But the first install of your 32-Bit java was not okay, because of "java is not recognized ...." so Java installation failed. Reinstall Java 32 and check your envoirment variables!

@Bin4ry

Could you port the flash tool to linux? I think that as it is a java app it could be easily ported, isn't it? If it's very hard to port it, don't mind me.

Thanks for all your efford Bin4ry.

I would love to help you with the decrypt tool but I couldn't figure it out either.
I just used the files Bin4ry supplied along with his flash tool and all was sweet.

@Aryanjain---considering your urgency and the desire to retain your warranty etc,I'd suggest you get this done by SE spending that Rs.150 but please ask them that you would get the latest firmware which is 2.1.1.A.0.6.This is the second update that most of us in India have got so far.
As for your fears ,Bin4ry is damn good at what he releases but now is not the time to dabble around especially since you have a Vista.
Get your update, enjoy your Eclair for a while meanwhile reading this forum in some detail before beginning to experiment with your phone.Perhaps you can also get XP going in your PC in the meantime.
One other thing---this is a solid phone and unless you use a hammer on it or dip it in boiling water, nothing will go wrong with it and you can always restore it to working condition!
    Best wishes.
