Edit: alright my accountant added after the 20th time... getting grey data bars. I don't understand how my data connection use to get blue bars but now all of a sudden it stopped

Background data enabled? If you can't sign in to talk, but you have data, that means you aren't connecting to Google's servers. Open up talk. Hit menu, then sign out. Now open talk back up, and tap your email. It should sign you in, albeit slowly. Bars *should* be back to blue. Happens to me from time to time. Or you could try opening up market. May get the pop up to accept or cancel. Accept. Hit menu, and my apps. That'll for sure sync to gservers. If it says connection failed, etc, then you may have to shoot Google an email. 100% blue bars = connected to Google servers. Grey means you aren't. Same like the bars turning green in gingerbread.

It says I'm signed in but then beside my email it shows an offline symbol. The sign is very fast and I already cango to My Apps in the Market. Further investigation... I always had blue data bars. Until an few short days after I first signed into talk (believe it or not). Odd

I'm having the same problem a lot lately on various devices and ROMs, keeps dropping in and out, and I assumed it was losing connection to Google servers from the research I have done. I have read conflicting arguments but not seen anything official to back this up.

I am thinking that it is in dace a loss of connection to Google servers. How do we get it back (the connection)

I think it is my carrier to be honest. I'm sitting here with Wi-Fi getting blue. I'm on speakout and I need to auto-proxy to get some basic apps to work. So this is probably because of my carrier... the usual would be to sign in /re-add to your Google account or Talk. But that's not working

No no. It's my carrier. This is what happens when you pay for an "UMB" plan haha. It's okay a proxy fixed the connections for me and a MOD got me the colors back.
