Pvy i have a question, how do we will turn into CWM with this app when our phone is shutdown?
my device is Xperia Neo V on 587, someone else is asking it but no answer yet ;)

Tapping Power Button i think on the Neo V... reminds me i need to reply to a bunch of emails... :p

Dear Masta.....how to install CWM recovery on sony Xperia TIPO ( ST21I) ?

I need advanced info from guys with the phone to try to port CWM to it... also is the bootloader unlockable?

OK I have an xperia play from verizon. I didn't see it on the compatible list, even though I was recommended to use your app through a Google search. Its like recovery mode doesn't exist on this phone lol. Any advice at least?

not sure what you are asking :)

Just deleting app won't delete cwm recovery.

To uninstall cwm( xparts) navigate to system/bin and delete recovery.tar then you will have no recovery in system.

Sent from my LT18i using xda premium
If I uninstall xparts does CWM go with it or which folders/files do I need to get rid of? I am unlocking my bootloader and going to install flash a recovery so I want to make sure I get rid of the version xparts installs.

delete
/system/bin/recovery.tar
/system/bin/chargemon

rename
/system/bin/charger to /system/bin/chargemon

that is what i do...
there is another fle but i fond it does not like being deleted.

Phone: Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo v
Bootloader: Locked
Android version: Stock 4.0.4 Build 4.1.B.0.587
Kernel version: Stock 2.6.32.9-perf
Root: DooMLoRD_v1_Xperia-2011-ICS-ROOT-emu-busybox-su

After installing 'CWM Recovery v5.5.0.4 by pvyParts'.
When I chose 'Show log' I got the following message:
Code:
I:Checking for extendedcommand...
I:Skipping execution of extendedcommand, file not found...
Start Mount
Start Mount !read_only
rv -1
Mount /dev/block/mtdblock0 on /system read-only
rv 0
Start Mount
Start Mount !read_only
rv 0
rv 0
Also, when I checked the recovery.log file, it seems that something is not working.
Please advise me.

Attached a screenshot + recovery.log file

haha that was my testing for mounts and stuff that is all ok. i will remove it all.

In my experience with the NEO V, running Stock ICS 4.0.4 Build 4.1.B.0.587.
Tap your finger on the screen when Sony's logo appears (even before the blue led lights up).
This is the only way to access recovery with this device.

Somehow my arc s LT18i does that too, there's no blue led light when restarting but if i tap on the sony ericsson logo, I boot into recovery mode.
I am using CWM-5.0.2.7-nAa-r2 on my locked bootloader .62 stock GB.

But it still is not working, I am rooted using stock ginger bread, when I used x-parts to "reboot to recovery" booted without going into recovery mode, When I tried booting into recovery manually it did the same thing. I even tried un installing then reinstalling. What should i try next?

[*]
[*]
[*] top row.
[*][ ]
[*] middle row.
[*][ ]
[*] bottom row.

You will find the recovery tar in xparts folder in sd card.

maybe a unicorn came and stole recovery from your phone...

can you both tell me the following.
- do you get a blue led on bootup
- do you have these files in the system folders
- - /system/bin/recovery.tar
- - /system/bin/charger
- - /system/bin/chargemon
- - /system/xbin/sh

if so what are there sizes.

    Howdy All!

So We've been Busy yet again
And we are proud to re-release This Tool.
    Whats new

All New UI that uses the ActionBarSherlock framework to give full Holo theme + Action Bar to devices pre ICS

To support more phones i have had to change the way the app works.
    (OLD VERSIONS AVAILABLE IN ATTACHMENTS)
    What it does now
1 - Check your phone model and compare it to a list of supported devices.
2 - If you phone is supported you can pick any of the supported CWM versions for you phone.
3 - When you click install it will download the CWM "recovery.tar" to your SD-card .
4 - Build you a "chargemon" file to match you phone.
5 - Take the charger + sh file from within the app.
6 - It then backs all the previous files up to the SD-Card and moves all the files to system as needed.
7 - if there are no problems then it is done and CWM is installed(into system)

    Comming Soon
With the new app i am also able to do many new things that were not possible in it's last incarnation

    (in no particular order)
    1-Click De-Bloating of Stock Firmware
1-Click Enable of Init.d support for locked Bootloaders / Stock Kernels
Few more in the works too

    Many more phones
My current plan is to support most Xperia devices
My current plan is to add these soon
    X10, X8, Xperia S, U, P, Sola
also if there is no compatibility issues the app does not need to be updated to add phones / recoveries. I can do it all server side.

This App will work with the Sony Xperia porfolio. it will install CWM into the system partition so you can use recovery even with a locked bootloader!

    Usage

    Launch the Application,
Swipe Between Tabs or Pick Tabs
Let it detect your phones setup
Press Install and CWM will be installed into your system.

To access recovery simply, reboot phone and press any key on boot at the Sony Ericsson logo, when the notification LED turns Blue. or use the "reboot to recovery" button from within the app.

    Recovery
Currently there are 2 recoveries that are able to be installed

    2.3.* Roms
5.0.2.7 for GB Roms (nobodyAtall) [link]

    4.0.* Roms
5.5.0.4 Recovery for ICS Based ROMS (pvyParts)
    Changes
    -USB Storage Mount works
-System wont be corrupted (Thanks nAa for the pointers + puppet13th for testing)

    a few words from nAa:)

This is ClockworkMod Recovery (v.5.0.2.7) ported to work on Xperia mini (ST15 and S51SE versions) / Xperia mini pro / Xperia Active / Xperia Arc

    Introduction
This CWM recovery is for people who don't want to unlock their bootloaders risking their DRM / warranty. It is not 'true' recovery per se, since it installs in /system, but all the CWM functions should work.

    Features

    ADB root shell
    reboot system now
    apply update from sdcard
    wipe data / factory reset
    wipe cache partition
    install zip from sdcard
    backup and restore

    Notes to everyone

Do NOT use this recovery if you are not in Stock firmware.

For more info on the recovery visit this thread.

    Hi,

I have official ics on arc s, since I've installed this, my phone doesn't have offline charging, it just bootloops until I disconnect charger and naturally turn phone on or I restart using cwm menu.

Can you get offline charging working on ics Rom?

Sent from my LT18i using xda premium

replace the charger file with this one for me and test if it works.

    NOT A FLASHABLE ZIP!

extract and use root explorer or similar to replace the one in system/bin/

    perms should be 0755 or
    x 0 x
    x 0 x

Also let me know if it does or does not work.

    Pvy.

No offence but Se tweaker and some other ways (doom lords touch screen enabled) CWM are already in Locked Bootloaders and Unlocked bootloaders.

i saw it, just saying ;)

    Offence aside.

This app requires you to know how to use your phone and thats it.
No need to get your pc talking to your phone in debug mode

this can be quite hard for some ppl especialy if you use pc's at a library or a iCafe ect. or have a PC that has broken bits. or maybe your usb port is broken. i think you get the point.

kindly point me to where these apps do this and i will be more than happy apologise.

Comments like yours are why developers leave phones and never come back. maybe keep that in mind. :) just saying you know.

i will not reply to any more post of this type as it is not what this forum is about! I Kindly ask that you pm me if you have any more to say so we can keep this thread clean.

    Thanks Pvy.

No offense but you may have noticed that this in an app, it works without PC, directly from your phone.
It uses nAa files, exactly like the tools you mentioned. Only it makes it easier. Sorry about that... :p
So no offense, but please take some time to understand before passing judgement.
    No offense. :p
