[Q] Sprint Galaxy Nexus (toroplus) only boot to Google logo or Odin
Backstory (you can ignore this part if you want)
I bought a used Sprint Galaxy Nexus SPH-L700 (toroplus) phone off eBay, the seller stated it was untested as he had no battery or charger, but the screen was good and it had a clean ESN, so I bought it. When I got it I put in a spare battery I had and tried the power button. It vibrated and the Google logo appeared, but it never booted past the logo. I pulled the battery and tired it a couple more times, and even let it sit for 10 minutes or so. I also tried to boot into fastboot, and when I did it just went to a black / blank screen and I had to pull the battery. I was able to get it into download / Odin mode. I tried to flash the phone in Odin mode, but the flash failed.
When I boot up I now see a phone and computer with a yellow warning triangle in the middle (see this pic for example
). Odin still seems to recognize the phone but when I try to re-flash it hangs on "radio-cdma.img" and eventually fails.
I was able to get back to the Google logo by flashing a tar with Odin that did not contain "radio-cdma.img" but the phone still only boots to the google logo or odin.
-- Can't get to fastboot.
-- Flash with Odin fails radio-cdma.img (which I think is the last step, but can flash with it) and leaves it in the warning state.
-- When I boot I can only get to the Google logo or Odin.
Any suggestions or ideas?
(or should I just resell it on eBay?)
