One of them is the USB port. It charges fine, but data transfer does not work. I've pretty much tried everything, but to no avail.
I really would like to use a custom rom on this thing though.
So here is my plan.
If I can get it rooted with framaroot, then could I install recovery tools (https://play.google.com/store/apps/d....recoverytools
) and flash a custom recovery? Then I could do do whatever with whatever ROM I wanted. Would this work? Personally, I don't care about getting S-OFF because from what I've read it only enables you to flash a different kernel, which is cool, but i don't care about that much.
If I am way off in anything, let me know.
Thanks in advance!
Please boot to your bootloader and take a picture or type out everything on the top portion of the bootloader screen.
If you take a picture, blank out the phone info at the bottom, IMEI etc. as this information can be used against you. Since your REQUIRE adb to unlock the bootloader, it is unlikely you'll be able to do any bootloader unlocking. Since the phone is used, perhaps it is already unlocked?
It's very odd and that you can charge but not access data. The cable that you are using, are you sure it has data transfer capabilities and not just power? Also, have you tried other USB ports or another PC?
Tried everything is quite vague as it's possible, even if unlikely, there are things you may not know to try. Can you list exactly what you have already tried as it may be possible someone here knows of something else you could try.
