please can you tell me, how you ported from SGS2 toSGS1 ?
is it only to copy the .apk files from KJ2 ROM to SGS1 ?
or must be done something special extra ?
i'm trying to port Email+Tasks to SGS1 ...
i tried now: to use from SGS2:
.) AccountAndSyncSettings.apk
.) CalendarProvider.apk
.) Contacts.apk
.) ContactsProvider.apk
.) Email.apk
.) Tasks.apk
.) TasksProvider.apk

for now it tell me:
and it writes about: acore hangs.

I just trying to explain basics of porting, basic rules.

1st you need to know which apk required which libirary.
2nd and if some apk need any change then it has to signed properly, all apk which exisit in any ROM required same signature.

Now come to Directory structure, you got 2 options.
/system/app
/system/lib

and

/data/app
/data/data

now you have to find proper place to put your lib files as well as apk files cuz if you put all APK in /system/app then u didnt had space, i think limit for sgs i9000 is 3000MB and if you use stock ROM then hardly u got 25MB free.

for porting remember 1 thing in every 15 minuts once u have to wipe your cell, cuz at time of porting u have to keep your cell clean as much as possible.

p.s. last stuff u have to do is contact.apk and contactprovider.apk cuz its full of acore issue, so before doing contact.apk sign all apk which exist in ROM either in system, data or framework folder. all required same signature else u got errors and FC

I think people want to port lots of stuff, why didnt you write one Guide for them, it will helpfull for them, indeed i also need some Guide to port lots of stuff which are in my mind.

I am on 5.0. How do you remove battery charger icon. It wont go away after I unplugged it. Had to reboot to clear it. Thanks.

Guys XWJVU is stable cuz i testing it from previous 4 days.

Now i adding Mods to it, i tested it with Galaxian kernel as well as semaphore kernel.

so wait for Next Release of XWJVU
