Hi,
Been on HairyBean for a long time and love it, pretty familiar with process.
Have backed up all that I want to.
Was on 2.2 but still ran boot and twrp updater.
Went back in to twrp and wiped system, dalvik, cache and ex-sd as instructed.
Flashed 2.3.zip and selected my options.
Install seems to be sat at 0.% and has been for 10 minutes.
Have I done something wrong ? Should it all take that long to get past 0.0% ?
Tried again and now it all went through OK, not sure what happened
[*]A Micro SD to copy install files to as the Internal Storage will be wiped during install.
Ok...i can be dense somtimes and not read everything before flashing, but i saw this buried in the instruction.Does this apply for upgrading ffom HB2.2 ? I thought in the HB2.2 thread that the upgrade would not wipe internal memory,- because it already had the new JB bootloader. Did this change? Do I need to backup internal memory before flashing?
Update from 2.2
Wipe dalvik Cache, System, Cache , Data and SD-Ext
Install 2.3 Bootloader & Recovery
Reboot
Install HB2.3 with hund's data2sd
Reboot
The boot time is shorter than 2.2, also the response is better
Advanced reboot works fine
Data2SD Addon test2 works fine on 2.3
Restoring data and apps...
if you installed 2.3 and seleceted the Hunds kernel with data2sd, there is no need for the data2sd add on. During testing, before Flumpster added the option to install data2sd in the installation, I used the add on and I beleive Flumpster mentioned to me not to as some mount points had changed. Feel free to jump in here Flumpster!
I like my SanDisk ultra 64. SanDisk extremes have caused problems.
