The easiest way to root the i747 after the 4.3 update is to flash TWRP and then install the Samsung de-knoxifier and SuperSU zips via custom recovery and, of course, the known way to flash TWRP is via Odin. However, perhaps you could try using Mobile Odin (pro version) which is the on-device flasher of choice. If this works, you would have added something to the body of knowledge for others who may have the same problem. See instructions for Mobile Odin below ...
