Interesting question indeed !
As a noob, I use LBE because it was the first one (and by habit) but perhaps PDroid is better because we can access to the sources (and verify what is coded - if we can).
About technical specs, we need specialist's advice !
I will follow this thread with great interest...

I also like LBE, mainly because of its UI and user friendliness also it asks if a particular app should be granted a particular permission when it asks for it, like super user.

LBE and pdroid can be used together (which is interesting because pdroid doesn't block internet access). It seems pdroid is more efficient otherwise (I read several posts saying LBE doesn't stop as much as it should) and most important of all, apps don't crash when they are denied permissions, which is what sometimes happens with LBE.
I use LBE myself, and would like to install pdroid too but haven't managed to do so so far (it seems there is a problem finding a patch for MIUI?). Installation is not very easy, and that is clearly a drawback.
But I do hope to find a solution and keep both apps

LBE never caused an app to crash on my phone!
Even I read an article which said LBE might not fully deny permissions to apps. Hope its not true :/
