[GUIDE]{ROOT}How To Root The ICS Leak

After Root using this method, the SR does not power off. Anyone can replicate this problem?

[EDIT] Other posters have said "try it 'x' times", well...after the 6th time in a row it finally worked.

Just keep trying until you get success.

I have two options - Power Off & Reboot.

Reboot sticks and requires a battery pull.

For the life of me i cannot boot into CWM.

I used odin and flashed the ICS leak.
I the booted up and it worked fine.
I used odin to flash the CWM. It says completed.
I rebooted and phone works fine.
I then power off. Pulled battery. And did the following:

Volume down+ power til the Second samsung logo and it still boots up as normal. Am i pushing the wrong buttons?

Edit:
Its volume up + volume down + power

hey guys, im trying to install this on my mac, and since theres no flashable ZIP yet, im not sure how...anyone that can help?

You need a pc to use Odin. You may want to wait for a flashable zip...

Same here, took 4 tries. Rooting gingerbread went the same way--error messages several times before it took. No worries.

THIS apparently doesn't fully root or else it doesn't set the right root permissions?

Upon using system tuner pro (and a few other apps) I get "[APPNAME] does not have root access, please check"

Battery pull not necessary.
Press and hold power button for a few seconds.
It will reboot.

Wipe Dalvik cache and wipe cache partition. It should install after that.

pro tip if your having problems with certain apps dl busybox installer from play store and run it thats what i did and everything is flawless now

Keep doing factory resets till they work.

Are there any heimdall packages for cwm? I almost destroyed my dignity using my Windows laptop to install ICS yesterday. I don't think I can handle anymore.

i do 4 factory rests and nothings happens .... the lock system not fuction lol i think i download the wrong version

and i cant se the rest of the files on my sd card
