Yes, Voice Search is part of Google now.



As I said the gapps is based on the original gapps-jb-20120726-signed.zip

The link is not working. I want to take a look at their gapps if I can implement the same.

btw, is there an official google app for picasa?

There is no app for picasa.

But in gallery you are able to see pictures from picasa.
When you are choosing a wallpaper picasa albums show there too.

For now, I'm using this teameos in my xoom and cm10 2012-10-04 (lg p970), works fine.

The camera don't crash, but can't take two pictures, the preview stop working after the first shot.
I will give a try later and test your gapps.

Please, if you can check the google pictures integration.

Now I understand. For Online Gallery Sync to work, use the GAPPS you mentioned above. The BIG BUT Cam won't have any CM mods if above file is used and will have very limited functionality.

This is the trade off anyone using CM10 has to choose from. Lets hope CM Team can integrate both in the future (fully working cam that has both features).

About taking pictures. it seems that you are correct, The preview stops after the first shot when you are using the gallery with picture sync. I will look on this further.

I know about the camera, I just mentioned it.

Some people say they application crash after a shoot, so, that gapps (teameos) freeze (a little better ;P)

Anyway, I'm really interested at the sync adapter (com.google.android.gallery3d)

Let's hope you can add it and we get a better gapps :)

Ok then. I will just add another option to install the gallery with pics sync in the next version. It will be up to the users to choose which gallery they prefer.

Btw, I will also add regional gps fix options in this package. ;)

Hey Tantrums, thank you for your work! A gapp-installer is really usefull. The only thing is, that i have no touch version of clockworkmod-recovery and so i have to use the keys. So i have the question, do you know how to name the clockworkmod-recovery-p970.img data and how to pack it as a zip, so i can flash it in recovery mode? I searched the whole forum but i just found methods with the pc via adb, and since the CM10 nightly has problems with connecting to adb it doesnt work. Thank you in advance!

And you my friend must learn to read carefully. I already found many versions for flashing via PC, but since CM10 isn't working with this method I asked for a other version, to just run a update.zip file in the phone :rolleyes:

Just use ROM Manager.
You can flash the touch version.

I think you will need to purchase some app stuff to be able to do this.

Use my CWM Recovery Flasher. You can use different versions of CWM Recovery, including my modded version. Its in my signature. :)

Thank you. Google stuff works perfectly, but new GPS fix did not change anything with my nightly CM10. I dont't get a fix within many many minutes. Seems that LG built something totally grazy here. Original LG images or ZEUS work within seconds... :confused:

Any other who tried the GPS fixes of v 0.3? If this indeed is not working, I will try to find other GPS fixes found here in xda.

Yes you can. Any Jellybean CM10 or AOKP that requires gapps can use this.

    JellyBean Google Apps Installer ++ by tantrums

    Now, I present to you one of my new projects. I was enjoying the CM10 nightly releases and thought of this project. This aims for users of CyanogenMod 10 to choose google applications or gapps to include or not to include when flashing CM10. I will be adding features to this project whenever I could.

    Features:

    Google Apps available for installation and remove:

    Google Calendar, Gallery, Genie Widget, Gmail, Play Books, Ears Widget (with transparent option), Play Magazines, Maps, Play Music, Play Services, TTS or Text-To-Speech, Play Video, Play Store, Google Now / Voice Search (with Offline option), Google Talk (with Video chat option), Talkback, Youtube & BookmarkSync

    Remove CM10 Default Apps:

    Apollo, Browser, CM Wallpapers, Email, Deskclock, Live Wallpapers, ROM Manager, Terminal Emulator, Spareparts, STK, Development app, DSP Manager, Exchange, KeyChain, Video Editor, Browser, Calculator, Gallery and Camera App, Sound Recorder, Trebuchet & LatinIME.

    GPS Fix available for installation:
    - Default CM10
    - Africa
    - Asia
    - Europe
    - North America
    - Oceana
    - South America
    - Philippines

    How to Use:
    1. Make sure you have a nandroid backup before proceeding. Just in case something went wrong.
    2. Copy the zip file in your SD card (copy in root folder) before installing CM10 ROM Releases
    3. Install CM10 in your device.
    4. After successfull CM10 installation, choose "install zip from SDCARD" and choose this CM10gapps_by_tantrums.zip.

    FAQs:
    1. Wanna remove gapps after running CM10gapps_by_tantrums or installing official CM10 gapps zip?
    - Run again CM10gapps_by_tantrums and choose "Custom Install and Remove". Uncheck all gapps you want to uninstall and it will be deleted. (added in v 0.3)

    NOTE : This is not a P970 Optimus Black only release. This will work in all CM10 Jelly Bean releases.

    - fixed bootloop issue when uninstalling/unchecking faceunlock in custom gapps install. Or when choosing basic gapps.

    Version 0.51 Beta
    - fixed uninstalling gapps when choosed to skip.

    - added modified gps_brcm_conf.xml for all regional gps fixes. [thanks to dcop7]

    I was able to reproduce the bootloop and able to pinpoint that unchecking / uninstalling faceunlock is what caused it.

    I will update v 0.511. This fixed the problem mentioned above. With 0.511 you can safely uncheck/uninstall faceunlock without bootloop.

    Will update OP.
