Just tried it.

It's quite slow, but from a technological standpoint, it's very cool. I can definitely see the potential.

Kind of like swiftkey but with more word suggestions. Swiftkey learns what you type though, if this is using the google scribe data I don't think it would have the same functionality.

Dude, you forgot the most important link, appbrain, if you included that this thing would already be on my phone. Heh, just messing with you and trying to remind/inform how great appbrain is for getting items on your phone when you aren't using it. Thanks for the post, it made the XDA Android RSS thread! http://www.appbrain.com/app/scrybe/com.appidio.scrybe.free
http://www.swiftkey.net/ does it also.

swiftkey also has many languages

Swiftkey also charges $3.99

It's just an alpha release.

Scrybe is a really interesting alpha release and will probably get much better.

At this time SwiftKey is way out in front for a number of basic reasons:
* Scrybe requries a constant, fast connection. SwiftKey works everywhere.
* SwiftKey allows multiple languages, even at the same time. Not Scrybe.
* SwiftKey learns your typing style with constantly better suggestions.
* SwiftKey often suggests the correct word before you even start typing it.
* Scrybe is slow even with a great internet connection. SwiftKey is fast.
* Scrybe admits that they are using Google Scribe, probably without a license.

Once SwiftKey learns your writting style over a couple of days, it is dramatically faster than Swype. But because SwiftKey finishes your words and even gives your upcoming words it cannot be used to break the texting speed records.

I've been using swiftkey since I still cant get swype and I love it. I tried using swype the other day and I failed. Ive had swift key predict whole sentences or even more than one sentence. I won't try scrybe until it proves its better then swiftkey.

Only thing I dislike about swiftkey is that it does save words you type often....which sucks

example (ex girlfriend) it still comes up with her name if I type just the first letter. hahah

Sorry to remain off-topic, but in SwiftKey, if you tap and hold a suggested word it gives you the option to remove it.

Your ex-girlfriend can be forgotten about!
