[Q] Safestrap Recovery v3.71 Rom Slot

Hi guys,
is it possible to do a backup from a slot rom and then restore it to the stock rom without problems?
I want to have a clear stock rom and at slot-rom I now want to edit the build.prop, then search and install the Update, after that do a backup
and restore it to the stock rom.(If I need to)
I have installed SU and Safestrap Recovery v3.71 at my firehdx 8.9.

I have bought my kindle fire hdx 7 from japanese amazon,
rooted， and installed safestrap，
unfortunately， after rooted ， my hdx 7 has some problem with wifi,
so i decided to intall this:
"http://goo.im/devs/Hashcode/thor/thor-amazon-os-13.3.1.0.zip"
which come from
http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2556677

IN STOCK ROM

until now , it worked perfect.

Just make sure to get the apollo-amazon-os-14.3.1.0.zip for the KFHDX 8.9

Thanks for that, over safestrap I installed the apollo-amazon-os, after reboot I wonder because my appz where still there, so I decided to wipe the stock ROM.....now it´s working fine.

I also tried to install to a rom-slot, do a backup and restore to stock-rom...also working!
