Recently i bought a battery (seemed original) from amazon for about €10, since my last one got fat and died, but the new battery only lasts one day in standby with everything turned off, and maybe less than 1hour in full use (it drops like 15% every 5minutes or so...)...

Is there anyway to check the battery real status?
Can this be a callibration problem?
Can this be a mobile phone problem? (hardware)

Or else, can any one recomend me a good one to buy? (i know of mugen, but its a bit expensive... 50€ battery for a 100€ phone...)

Just try to buy a Polarcell (on Ebay). Just 12,90 euro and free shipment. Also they have a higher capacity than the original.
Search for "Polarcell Gio" on Ebay and you'll find them.

If you can't find them, try Ebay.de.

Have you tried? Are they safe?

Yes, I have one for my i9000 (galaxy s) and my girlfriend has one for her GIO.
They perform really well!

Hi,

I've bought PolarCell 1500mAh for Gio/Ace (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PolarCell-...item5ae6129e7d) and i've been using it for a month.
It lasts from 2 days (3G, video, games, etc.) to 4-5 days (calls and text messages).
Seems also to be well constructed.

So far, quite happy, since my old stock battery only lasts for a day (but without using the phone ...).
