Zero flash counter with broken screen
Touchscreen is broke and blacked out.
I flashed back to stock ROM before thinking about it. I now have stock ROM with a jacked flash counter, probably 1 or 2 but I can't see because my screen is broken.
ADB doesn't see my device either, but I'm aware of the flash counter resetting method using the ADB described in the thread linked below.
I'm sure the stock ROM has default settings with USB debugging disabled which is why ADB won't see my phone. After reading through countless threads it appears that I'm pretty much screwed, but I had a thought.....
Is there a known custom ROM that has USB debugging enabled by default? I was thinking that this would be a pretty simple thing to determine. Someone's gotta know on here. That way I can probably just get root again, flash the ROM, zero the flashcounter through ADB, then flash back to stock again.
There's also using micro USB-HDMI interface to navigate on my PC monitor. I could enable USB debugging, or just using Triangleaway outright. I can try this too.
What do you guys think?
I've received my new phone, so I need to send this one back ASAP. I anticipate some persuasion work on my part because they're probably going to say the screen was damaged, but I'm confident I can win that battle. However, If they claim damage and
they see the flash counter, I believe this may tip the scales towards them politely telling me to **ck off.
Has anyone had any experience with the warranty folks and ATT? I'm paying for the extended warraty, so they better be ready for a battle.
I will pour a scotch, sit down, and demand to speak with every manager until I have the CEO on the phone. If they deny me I'll call back and do it again. And I have lots of scotch.
