[Q] Modifying reported xdpi / ydpi from that DisplayMetrics reports

Is there some way to modify what xdpi and ydpi is reported to apps so I can simulate a tablet view on my phone?

I tried changing the build.props dpi setting, it's not affecting xdpi/ydpi or actual dpi numbers from this app for example:

Any reliable ideas?

Which.... still doesn't do it.

Also, this is a better app for calculating screen size and getting x/y dpi
