And where it is borked Samsung will remove region lock for free any way. I'm still importing a region locked N10.1-14 for use in the U.S. because I trust Samsung over the hysterical posters in that God awful thread any day.
People should believe whatever they want but keep region lock discussions in the thread you linked. One hysterical thread per topic is more than enough.
Are you serious? Multiple reports is not enough for you? Well, tell me how many reports you need to start to consider that as an issue.
Now, imagine you came in Thailand for a week for vacation. Instead of doing your thing as you want you have to: drop everything and find Samsung service centre, and absolutely not necessary they well do it right a way, they might ask you to leave the phone for a week. Nice
But remember: very few people in Thailand speak English, you cannot get directions to get there (you need data to work and that's not the case), you cannot even make a call, how kewl is that? Especially when you just paid whoppy £620 (around $900) for unsubsidized N3. And to make things even worst - you came not in Bangkok, but to the smaller city, let's say - Phuket, where there's no Samsung service centre in hundreds of miles around. What would you do?
Don't get me wrong, in NOT trolling, I'm informing XDA members about huge costs and big pain they have to come through. I wanna help them to make right and non-blind decision. I would think that's the idea behind any web forum.
