The (almost) soft bricking was all on my part. The hardest part for me was figuring out on which RUU to use since I had only used HBoot through out the entire process. And the RUUs in the general forum don't include stock recoveries or any at all and removed twrp from my phone. And sometimes when I would install a recovery it wouldn't let me flash a rom while also deleting the stock one, and I had problems with twrp not working at all.

Conclusion, I used 4.4.4 RUU, then used 2.8 TWRP RUU and finally everything was back to normal.

Tl;dr = I'm a noob lol

I had the GS3 before the One and love BoneStock and it's the only one I use still. Your hard work will always be appreciated to me and I'm sure a lot of users in the community.
Wrong. They all include stock recovery. You got the red exclamation point when entering recovery. Thank vzw for the fact you need to hit volume up and power when you see that to actually enter stock recovery.

Weird issue

I seem to be one of the few who hasn't moved to Fluent yet, but for now I'm happy on BoneStock...except for one minor issue. Wondering if anyone's seen this or knows how to fix. Already tried a couple reloads and keeps happening.
- Activities close FAST. Like immediately.
- Example: Pandora. I open the program and turn off the screen. If music hasn't begun playing before the screen goes off, it closes the app entirely. This hasn't happened on other ROMs. Likewise, services without notifications are always closed.
- My first thought was the developer setting about closing apps immediately. It's set to default. I even tried setting it to 4 apps, but it still closes everything.
- Wipe/reload. Same thing.

Anyone got any random ideas or should I be upgrading to Fluent and call it a day? :)

My guess is the memory manager is set to kill apps to keep a very high amount of memory, it needs to be set lower, try auto memory manager from play store.

Was there a fix for the Wi-Fi MMS issues? I can't send or receive while on Wi-Fi either.

My mobile data is always on. If Wi-Fi is enabled, it just doesn't work. As soon as I turn off Wi-Fi, I'm good to go.

On most Sense ROMs I've had to do this. This is how I get it to work with WiFi on: I reboot my phone every morning. Turn WiFi off and send my first MMS (group message for work) and then put my WiFi back on. The rest of the day while on WiFi it will send MMS.

OTA

With the Verizon OTA rolling out this morning, is it reasonable to be hopeful for an update to a BoneStock 5.x?

    FAQ
Q: I saw you posted a screen shot of the AOSP lock screen, how can I get that as well?
A: Use something like Root Explorer from the Playstore, and navigate to system/priv-app and re-name HtcLockScreen.apk to HtcLockScreen.apk.bak - then reboot. To remove rename back to .apk

Q: Will you do so and so MOD for this ROM? Will you add this or that?
A: I don't know. Feel free to ask and I will give you an honest answer. As I do aim to please the users, I can't please everybody.

Q: Does this ROM update my firmware, or radio/baseband? What about PRL?
A: No. No. And No. This, much like most ROMs (can't speak for everyone..) does NOT update your firmware, your radio/baseband, PRL, Hboot, or any of that. This is simply the ROM, nothing more. You need to flash hboot, firmware, recovery, radio, etc outside of this ROM and thread. Please do not use this thread as a how-to for these things.

Q: What is the Odex Test ROM? Ex. Bonestock_v1.3-OT.zip - Depreciated! Do NOT use - Android 4.4.3
A: Sense 6 started packaging their applications differently. Before, you had the classes.dex held within the .odex file, hence when you deodex you combine these two into one .apk, removing the .odex files. With Sense 6, although there is an .odex file, their is also the classes.dex held within the .apk. What does this mean?
There is talk of just physically deleting the .odex file will simply result in a deodexed ROM rather than using say, the Android Kitchen as has been done since.. I've been making ROMs and far far longer.
Why did HTC do this you ask? Possibly for ART, I am not sure.
So the Odex Test is just that, I simply deleted the .odex files rather than the tradition deodex route. If you want to use the tradition deodex method you can use the provided ROM.
Only the ROM with the label "-OT.zip" will be done this way.
I am offering both ways to see if any ROM has better results.
Please feel free to try both methods as OT is what I personally use and haven't seen any issues, so I consider it stable.
@scrosler filled me in on how and why it ART works the way it does, and was correct, the OT-test IS the correct method for deodexing Sense 6.0. This is how you can be on a Deodexed ROM and run ART. I edit all my applications by hand hard coding the MODs/tweaks which break ART - so ART will not work on v2.0. There are ways to go about editing the applications and keep ART, but I am not sure if this has been done, and if it has, I don't know what needs to be done to get ART working, so if you NEED ART, I apologize but this ROM will not be supporting it at the current moment. (9/20/14 -- v2.0 -- 2.21.605.2 OTA)

Q: What do I do with the Harmon/Kardon .zip if I don't flash it!? - Depreciated! Do NOT use on Android 4.4.3
A: As this MOD requires flashing a new ADSP.img (Advanced Digital Signal Processor) you are required to do this using fastboot and ADB. You should be familiar with ADB from using Firewater to get S-OFF as S-OFF is needed for this to work. Download the .zip to your computer, then extract the contents using your favorite extractor, I use 7-zip personally (on windows). Within the contents you will find a "How-To.txt" file, open that up and it explains what to do from there. Basically you have 3 files within the .zip, 1. the how-to.txt 2. a flashable.zip 3. a fastboot .zip. As explained in the How-to.txt one of these you flash in recovery, and the other is installed using fastboot

Sorry guys, been a bit busy as of late.
Huge thanks to @scrosler though, for providing us a great base for us DEVs to work from I am currently working on getting Aroma working on this build, and adding in everything from v1.3 > v2.0 - rebased on OTA 2.21.605.2.
    ETA - 2-5 days, roughly.
    Thank you all.

    C'mon team ecliptic ?

We'll have a team ROM coming soon. :)

too tired for thread update, will do tmw.
    v2.0 - http://d-h.st/M2b

This has a flashable.zip to make the recent key menu and long press to recent, curtuiousy of icedventimocha + Cnexus
    11
@icedventimocha and I are making good ground on the theme I've been wanting to make "greyyy inversion" I made it back on Sense 3.6, it originated here
and I wanted to bring it back to sense 6 as it suits it sooo much better, even though I'm very proud of the OG theme as it was a big accomplishment back then inverting applications (still is but not as bad as it was)
With his knowledge and my vision we were able to create a very stock-like theme that I think many will enjoy. of coarse it won't be for everyone, and with time who knows maybe I'll expand outside the stock green, but green is my favorite color and I LOVE this sense 6 green.

so here is some pics on the m7, I already ported what I had to the m8 so that icedventimocha isn't working blind, and we will finish the theme on this phone and I'll back port it to the m7 when finished.

    check it out!
