Original Android dev has been kinda quiet for the G Pro 2, perhaps since it's not available in many countries yet. So here are some working mods which have been tried and tested.

1. You need to root

Full instruction here:

a. For D838: http://www.kenysl.com/2014/04/how-to-root-your-lg-g-pro2-d838.html

b. For non-D838: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2670428

2. Install Xposed Framework

http://repo.xposed.info/module/de.robv.android.xposed.installer

3. Install Xposed Modules

Here are some which are tried to be working:

1. Battery icons: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2522669

2. G2 Tweaksbox (so far worth my $1+ for the full version): http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2549923

3. Complete Action Plus Mod: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2588306

4. ColorClockChanger: http://xdaforums.com/xposed/modules/mod-clockcolorchanger-t2685302

5. Ex Themer 2: http://xdaforums.com/xposed/modules/mod-ex-themer-theme-android-party-app-t2582494

6. Rainbow Bars: http://xdaforums.com/xposed/modules/mod-rainbow-bars-multi-coloured-t2723879

7. Youtube AdAway: http://xdaforums.com/xposed/modules/app-t2547316

8. Disable SMS to MMS Conversion: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2182816

9: ViPER4Android: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2191223

For anyone who is adventurous, full list of (untested) G2-based mods, themes, and modules here:

http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2591077

If there any which you've tried and worked with the G Pro 2, just reply in this thread and I'll try to update the list.

I miss G2 Xposed. This will enable Tinted Bars if you like. I use it myself. But you have to pay for it. Ot's worth it since G2 Tweaksbox doesn't allow us to use Tinted Bars anymore. You can use them both together.

if its not working I had this problem simple work around can be annoying but worked for me, in the settings there's a option for showing the viper notification in the status bar enable that (yes don't ask why that works) but that should sort out your issue.

I'm trying as I type, still no effect. Also tried another app called equaliser from play store, same thing.
I noted that when playing using lg music app, under setting there is option to change audio effect and this work! Only when using lg music app.

I remember with Samsung devices after installing viper I need to change the system audio effect profile to viper from default system. this is what missing from lg. I think?

Yeah that could be right, viper only works on the stock music player from what I've seen so if you use power amp or other they use there own music profile where as vipers music profile/setting work on the stock music player as its drivers are put straight into system so affect only that player, might be a way to make it effect other music players but I'm not sure on that.
