If you are thinking to copy this thread to another forum .... ( ..i have seen many duplicate copies ..)
then you are most welcomed but you should include this main XDA thread with copy... in this way the user will
not be confused ... becz i continuously update files and my posts according to user request and submitted bug ...
so those changes didn't reach to the other duplicated copy i suppose ...

The symphony W125 is running a rather custom Version of jb 4.1.2.
Binary,super one click etc doesn't work,
The phone was rebranded from xolo q800,
So tried its rooting method,
But it seems symphony changed the ROM,memory block locations AND POSSIBLY CLOSED THE LOOPHOLES in the preloader.
Xolo q800 rooting method =no recovery,untouched OS.
Fail.

This is one hell of a unrootable mt6589

To flash that zip, a custom recovery is required,
Symphony w125 has a basic stock recovery,
And attempting to flash a custom recovery via flash tool erases the recovery entirely.

First we need to get some kind of custom recovery on that device,
And without root=no stock recovery.
No stock recovery=no custom recovery.
Its a vicious circle.

well can you pull the stock recovery.img from your phone and provide it here .... then i will try tom compile one cwm besed on stock then you can use my script to root your jb ....

Now type in adb :

adb shell
su
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p16 of=/sdcard/recovery.img

Akta file recovery.img name sdcard e joma hobe....

I cant pull the stock recovery without Root,
the "su" terminal command requires root to work.
No root=cant pull stock recovery.
no stock recovery=no custom recovery.
No custom recovery=No root.
....
...

Oh then use SP flashtools to pull the recovery.img ... :good: and with sp flash tools you dont need root ....

BTW There is no "scatter file" for the MT6589 used on the W125.

every MTK device has an scatter file for it ... use mtk droid tools to get the scatter file and use this guide to pull the recovery ...

I no longer have access to the device but,
Pulling the scatter file was successful,
The boot.img has also been pulled(Not by me).

I cant find the recovery partition.
So I cant pull it.

I used cat /proc/mtd > /sdcard/firmware.info command and

Following is the output.

use this command ... cat /proc/dumchar_info

and see if the recovery and boot img block is still in there ... !!

you will find a zip file unroot .. just flash it through cwm and the superuser and the binary will be removed ....
