I think the relationship between the kernel and the rom in some of the custom builds is the heat and reboot issue. For me at least. Some roms seem to be stable with over clocked kernel, like neutrino, but others aren't so stable for me, like miui. Its hard to say.
Again, cell connection is something else I'm not really concerned with. If it works, awesome, if it doesn't, I try something else. I don't mess with the 2g/3g/H+ settings.

As far as I know, wifi issues seem to be kernel related for most people from what Ive read. But neutrino is the only rom that's given me disconnection issues, where I'd have to re-initiate the wifi connection regularly. But neutrino is the only gingerbread based from I've used in a while, so it could be the GB kernel that he uses.

There are soo many variables, so many different people flashing so many different kernel/rom/radio combos, its basically impossible to pinpoint EVERY issue.....But I'm sure someone will figure it out, they usually do, lol

Thx :)
Do you guys wanna know something funny? I'm with my GF ccellphone today and i'vI've loged in in xda using her phone (for those who have not read my long post a couple page back, she is completely stock non-root) and responding and reading trough xda and I've put the temp monitor widgwidgwidget Wichita is the only widget i know that can read CPU temp on our atrix and I've put it in the wave launcher app, so as i was about to say, getting a closed look to a 2second refreshing widget, it gave me a real 65 non-overclocked stock ROM! Wow! I'm. Somehow stunned !

Does anybody tell me if it's not a ROM/Kernel combo, and if it's not a radio related problem, could it be software? Like dolphin HD that I'm using?

Damn, you beat me too it...I was going to link to an XDA thread with it =P

Heh, Google is your friend, better friend than I am, I'm sure. ;)

Hm, well, Adobe updates their player for good reason. Older versions have security issues that could be exploited by all sorts of malware, at least that is what the "official" ones claim

You mean the malware that comes from watching porn? ;)

I can solve that....Stop watching flash porn on your phone =P :)

Yes, exactly!

As a fellow technician, I feel that your laughter is very appropriate. ;)

The last version of Adobe Flash 10.x also works flawlessly, here it is v10.3.186.7 in case someone needs it -
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/11446902/Neutrino_2.7_mods/Adobe_Flash_Player_v10.3.186.7.apk

Previously it was possible to make v11 release work by replacing config.data, I think even Neutrino includes this fix, but for some reason it doesn't work anymore.

Anyway, I am back to 10.3 for now. Can't say I see any difference in performance.

You know first thing you should try is the kernel in my sig and not adjust any voltages or clocks. Just try to leave the inner workings at stock. If the problem presists, what you need to try and go get the ba2tf. Pull the build.prop out of it's /system/ directory within the zip file. That may fix the problem entirely. The tweaks may ultimately cause a lot of annoying problems. I like to dial them in but that takes a ton of time, testing, and effort. Go with a totally stock default cm7 build.prop and it may fix a lot of problems we all experience. I've seen it fix a lot in the past.

I think its out of order, I have posted twice about the deep sleep issue but no reply. Its happened to me twice tonight on the 2.7 rom but it seems no one else has reported...

Come on, this rom is the nuts lets get to the bottom of it.

I've experienced the same issue. If you place the ba2tf's build.prop in the /system/ directorty, correct permissions, restart. You should then never have that problem I could honestly say.

Edit: Found it. :) For those needing it Flash 10.2 here it is: Adobe Flash 10.2.apk on Mediafire

"5 mins left". Guess what, IT'S BEEN ONE FREAKING HOUR.
Mfw MediaFire forces downloaders to watch ads...

I can solve that....Stop watching flash porn on your phone =P :)

Actually, I could watch 720p porn videos on my old HTC EVO 3D. Now, if I do that, on the same website, the image is just... umm... like hyperspace or something (green bars all around). :( (lawl)

Could be either because of the kernel, the ROM, the Adobe Flash Player version (which has been updated since I last tried to watch that) or I don't know. My guess would be Adobe Flash Player, actually, so I'll try 10.3 (thanks, Xploited). Not only to see if that fixes that specific website issue, but I've got other problems that I believe might be flash-related

---------- Post added at 09:50 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:47 AM ----------

ro.lge.proximity.delay=0.50
mot.proximity.delay=0.50

I changed those 2 values from 25 to 0.50 right now, thanks.
I never had issues with the screen not going off/coming on during calls, though - except for some times when the screen goes off half a second after I initiate a call, and then comes back on one second later (even though I didn't even put the phone to my ear). Oh and one time, I let the phone at my ear for like 5 minutes after the call (re-felt asleep, lol). The proximity sensor was lit up (very dim purple light, you know). I had to make a battery pull.

Being in the build.prop file, I increased the vm heapsize from 128 (what the hell) to 512. Let's see how that goes...

Lol, mediafire has never forced me to watch ads. ;) I'm not even pro or whatever their membership is called. ;)

Tbh, I've never experienced screen related problems when making calls, but I use my Bluetooth earpiece a lot because I'm always on the road and my local government finally joined the darkside and illegalized the usage of non-hands-free cellular devices while driving. Since I'm constantly making and receiving calls, so that's a big nono. ;)

If I try to edit the levels for auto brightness, cmparts force closes. Also, I got a SOD today. I'm running GT@1GHz, the only difference between EE and GT/+ is the kernel, right? Anyone got a link for EE Kernel?

i'd say don't use TB, it can cause problems.

I never had any problems with Titanium Backup. Make sure you update whenever you see one available on the Store, though ;)

I believe the EE is faux's 1GHz kernel, GT is faux's 1.3GHz and GT+ is faux's 1.45GHz. I inserted hyperlinks for each... well, go figure :p .

My configuration : GT+ with CPU downclocked to 1 GHz and -100mV undervolt. Your mileage may vary.

I had a similar problem trying to watch a video. Try opening a new tab in the browser and then switch back to the original. It usually plays fine afterwards.

Yea, my phone gave me freezes with -100mV, so I set it to -75mV and it worked until the SOD today. Trying faux 1.0 GHz without undervolting now

What do you mean? 720p video playback is choppy on the browser? Or what?

i dont know why people keep wiping data when updating... it's pretty much useless unless somrthing goes terribly wrong

Sent from my MB860 using Tapatalk

Wiping data is actually NOT reccomended. If people do that, then it's fair to assume they didn't read the first post, which leads to having at least 100 pages of crap like "why my phon not work pleaz anser mai qcuestion im stupid!"

Regarding Adobe Flash Player... One guy (admin) from MIUI ROM Facebook page reccomended that I use an older version of Flash, which he said is very stable. He gave me this version when I reported strange behaviour in MIUI browser (the back button was acting weird) - that fixed everything.

It's a newer version (v11) than the one you, Erebus, posted (v10). If anyone is interested... I attached the .apk below.

I'm using the latest version of Flash Player to date - I update it whenever possible. I doubt Adobe is really THAT evil... :/

    Please read before downloading

This is an enormously STRIPPED DOWN ROM. Many features YOU need may NOT be available in the base package. If there is any loss of functionality, you'll need to flash an ADDON by clicking the link below.

Before you download, ensure your contacts are saved onto your SD card or memory card. Contact/calender sync is not included natively, you must flash the 'Sync addon.'

This is a CM7 BASED ROM. So anything that doesn't work on CM7 like Webtop will NOT work on this ROM also. Please do not request non-CM7 features.
    Install Instructions:
**Firstly make sure you have the latest RomRacer's recovery!!**
Then choose to wipe using any one of the following two wiping methods:
    For clean wipe:
Moto-fastboot -w, erase system/boot/preinstall, then install from INTERNAL .ZIP!

    For easy wipe:
Go into recovery, and install from INTERNAL .ZIP!
Wiping data may not be necessary with every update, but it's best to flash clean. However, if you regularly flash the updates, you'll most likely need to wipe data at some stage anyway.
**DO NOT WIPE DATA AFTER INSTALLING!!!**
Make sure you flash the 'Lite gapps' in to get the barebone google apps.

Then, after booting, click on script manager, navigate to /system/etc and run NitroCharger.sh as ROOT and at BOOT!
It is also HIGHLY recommended to download the GPS Mod found in #2.
    Then you're done.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: Are you going to be working on CM9?
Yep, I'm working on it right now :)

Q: My phone doesn't boot with this ROM - it get's stuck on the dual-core screen :(
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ROMRACER'S RECOVERY!!!! CHANGE IT NOW!

Q: Why is performance settings in CMparts removed?
A lot of options in performance settings will conflict with the tweaks in this ROM. All the options in performance settings have been included in the ROM anyway, but have been optimised for the best settings. So don't worry about it. If you REALLY want to head over to performance settings, then long press on homescreen and select shortcut. Add CMparts>Performance Settings and you will gain access. But seriously, there's really no point.

Q: My phone shows that I have very low free RAM!
Here's a fat explanation on how the RAM works in Android.

Q: My phone can't scan files on my SDcard?
CM7 mounts the SDcard and internal memory opposite to Motorola. To switch back to 'stock style,' navigate to /settings/CMsettings/application > Check 'use internal storage' and reboot.

Q: Does this ROM support landscape mirroring?
    Yep.

Q: How do you get those cool 'ICS style' rings like in the screenshots?
Go to Settings/CMsettings/Lockscreen/Style options/Ring-Lock style and change to 'holo.'

Q: What does the BOOST script do?
It will 'defrag' databases, so make them smaller (faster to read, so apps will open faster) as well as freeing the caches. Do NOT run this script at boot!!!!! It is to be used if your phone starts to feel a big sluggish or laggy, then just run the script with SU and that's it.
