Force Close with LauncherPro - ??

I have a weird bug. Am running MIUI 1.6.3 with LauncherPro Plus. Everything seems stable (only been a couple of days) EXCEPT: when phone first turns on or goes through a fresh reboot, sometimes LauncherPro FCs when I first unlock the phone. Once if FCs once, it then runs perfect.

So basically I have a totally usable phone aside from this weird FC issue on LauncherPro after bootup.

Only idea I have it so totally re-install the ROM, and don't use Titanium Backup to restore any apps (I did NOT restore data - only apps). Kind of a pain but doable. Just not sure if it will fix the problem.

Any help / thoughts appreciated.

Loving this ROM....

I've been having that with LP for a while. It doesn't quite force close, I get a dialoge to FC or wait if I try to do anything on the home screen. If I wait it is fine but it takes awhile. It is 100% of the time. It also happens with CM7 so I don't think it is a MIUI problem.

LP will FC every single time if you try to use your phone before it fully loads up. SOmething about how it caches the homescreens for super fast scrolling.

I just want to add that LPP closing has happened to me on every AOSP rom. It's normal, once it force closes it's all good

marcmarshall - past_pluto - TheWhiteBandito: Thanks very much. What you're saying makes total sense to me... I've been using LPP with sense and sense-less ROMs - this is the first AOSP ROM I've used. Interestingly, this is NOT a problem on sense or sense-less ROMs...

I agree that it seems to be a problem IF LPP doesn't have enough time on startup or if I 'rush' it after boot up or restart.

I'll play around with this a bit. Mostly it's good to know that there's nothing 'wrong' and that it does not make sense to re-install from scratch (or that doing so won't change the behavior).

If anyone else has similar input, I'll take it but otherwise I'll consider this to be the answer.

I used MIUI back in the Froyo days. I recall ALL the icons having the "square" background.

But now I just flashed the latest, and most of them I installed from Titianum don't.

Is there an option to get them all to have that square behind them?

Download an icon pack that has square backgrounds. I was using one for weeks, can't remember the name though.
