I want to tell me I can do or that I recommend you do.
Hi!
...a ROM without any problem seem to be Honeycomb Firmware 3.2.80 !
On my Device, HC 3.2.80 (unrooted, no SDE, official) also has random reboots but 4.0.5 is working fine.
Do you know if there were any problems with earlier 3.2.69?
thank you
Surdu_petru, do you think that it is possible that my device is just one of the "bad" ones?
Btw didnt had any reboot with 4.06 after a couple of reflashs but on homescreen isnt smooth as already mentioned in another thread.
Got the turbo with omap4460..
Hi!
don't wory ! .... I think your device has no problem !!! ....It seems that all problems are caused by software ... should expect a mature version of the Archos for ICS ...that's all !!!
I have a 101 g9 turbo 250GB rooted, I got the notification about the 4.0.7 update available. Do you guys know if I loose root if I apply this update? If so, is there any plans to root it? Thanks a lot, I have learned a lot with this forum and I really appreciate very much to have such a great professionals volunteering here.
Hi friends, I need your help because I need a root custom rom and a oc kernel for my g9 8gb 1ghz 512ram, I need oc my device because I need ubuntu on it (chroot method). So, which is the best custom rom and kernel for my device? which is the best setting for getting the best perfomance in my archos?
Thanks in advance.
I've done exactly what you say - no success.
Tried to uninstall SDE and install it again - then tried to install your firmware again by your instructions - no success.
I'm installing custom firmwares not first time (10 times at minimum with success), so I think that's some kernel incompatibility with new 101G9 revisions.
I can provide as much information as possible to help you fix this issue.
PS: Your 4.0.7 root installed successfully. But 4.0.24 doesn't, it shows non-animated Archos logo without response. Recovery working, so I have rolled back to 4.0.7 root.
I tried to load aokp, ics blue and ubuntu ROMs from boot menu with 4.0.7 root zimage and initramfs, but they're loading infinitelly. 4.0.7 root works fine.
when I try to update firmware to install SDE (after loading file firmware_archos_it4.aos) I get update error n° 221 ????
thanks
