i just got my phone (arconium v3) 100% supercharged and it is running great - no launcher redraws, i also really prefer the new ICS gallery. so, is there any point to me updating to v4? or should i just wait for v5?

Backup new ics gallery with titanium backup. Then update v4. You can reinstall ics gallery back and delete semc gallery with titanium. Thats what i do. This scrolling cache improvement can be useful.

All ICS versions are so "memory hungry"?
I reverted to Arconium 7.2, being bugged by the slowness of constantly under 100MB RAM free -> LMK always has to work.
Is ICS for over 512MB RAM phones?

No. Keep in mind it's a beta and they probably left debugging stuff inside. It's also probably not optimized enough yet.

Silly question, but what are buttons to press when booting to get into recovery? I get there every now and then, but not sure how I did it :p And now I just can't seem to get there -.- I'm on v3.

Update: Bought an app on Android Market Google Play.

Not so good for me... but maybe for other reasons: I'm in another country, with no signal for the phone (but I'm with airplane mode all the time), and even so,. my battery drain too fast.. from 100% to 36% in 12 hours (without signal remember)...
Only wifi turn on because the error that with wifi off drain even faster...

I"m going back to arconium 7.2. REALLY. The battery drain is insane in almost all ICS custom roms (except in IceLite, but I don't like its style)... Let's wait.

I've got a question for you guys about the upcoming release:

Which one do you prefer?
  1. Stock music player.
  2. ICS music player but with fully working DSP Manager port from CM9.

I ask this because making DSP Manager to work properly causes the stock music player to crash.

Here's a screenshot of the new DSP Manager:
jVBc

The equalizer is now able to work with 16 Hz band too. Don't forget, those audio effects will also get applied to every sound coming out from any app so you can enjoy your movies etc. with audio effects applied. I tried it out and it sounds great.

I prefer the second option. Even though the stock player has an equalizer setting but it's very limited. Keep in mind, I haven't tried putting ICS music player in this ROM so I don't know whether it works or not.

So, what do you guys think?

Chơi tiếng Anh đi bác, luật của XDA bắt chơi Tiếng Anh mà!

I'm using Advanced Stock kernel and download error with 3G, and you?

i've used both Advanced Stock Kernel and Stock beta kernel with this ROM, but no problem with the 3G, works fine with me! Try to reconfigure your APN setting

PLEASE add DSP Manager! This would be awesome:)
I just have another question:Is it possible that after closing an app that you've launched from the menu and press the "back" button you are at the same site in youre menu again? I hope you've understand everything:D
By the way AWESOME ROM!!!

Managed to sort it

Settings>Developer Options>Background Process Limit -- i set it to 4 processes at most, and it seems to have helped. no more redraws

If I understand everything correctly, that issue sounds like the launcher being killed. I'll try to do something.

Thanks for the feedback about DSP Manager, I'll wait for a few more opinions before a final decision is made.

I like stock SE music player !
You could perhaps make an update zip file for each one ?

I think you could also remove some unusefull stuff like :
- accessory key dispatcher
- wallpapers
- POBox Touch
- Update Service
- Videos
- Sim toolkit
- device monitor ?

And another thing. When I'm using the Arc without SIM I can't find my home wifi, with SIM it connects just fine. Wtf? Not in airplane mode, maybe give that a try.

Sent from my HTC Sensation ICS using XDA Premium.

    Known Issues for 5.0

    • Touch controls might not work in AROMA Installer.
    • As with stock ICS, phone/contacts may take a while to start for the first time after boot.
    • If you didn't do a full wipe when coming from 4.1.B.0.431, you might have problems deleting bloatware.

    Troubleshooting

    • Flash the corresponding modules from the kernel you use (unless "modules included" is written) to make sure WiFi works properly.
    • If touch doesn't work in AROMA Installer, you can use hardware keys to navigate (like CWM).

    Installation

    1. Copy update zip to SD card.
    2. Flash a suitable baseband using FlashTool.
    3. Flash one of the listed kernels or any compatible ones.
    4. Boot into ClockworkMod Recovery.
    5. Flash zip package.
    6. Follow on-screen instructions.
    7. Reboot.
