i REALLY dislike that Swype is the only keyboard input.

how does one get the default keyboard back on the phone? i dislike swype...

There is about 20 different keyboards, if not more, available in the market. There is no point in having more than one is the /system folder. I like Swype, so I put in Swype as my choice.

That was weird. I downloaded, installed in CWM as usual, but this time at the end it said "back button disabled" and I was unable to do anything else in CWM. I had to pull the battery and now it's on the bootscreen. Hope it boots up *crosses fingers*

update: It booted. Will post issues if any.

update 2: The BofA app is still incompatible! I haven't even messed with the build.prop. This is so frustrating. I need that app.

That is crazy, I don't bank with BoA, but I downloaded the app and it loads just fine.

I know it sucks, but may want to try wiping data.

Get Swiftkey X! (Market Link)! Seriously, this is the best keyboard out there. Their official website has a bunch of information on it. The free trial lets you use the prediction engine for a month, then you'll need to pay $3.99...Trust me, it's well worth it; after you use the phone for that month, your phone will basically be writing entire sentences for you. :D

If you can get me a logcat when it force closes I will look into it.

Do not flash the one from revolt, it will probably cause problems!

I can vouch for SwiftKey. I keep going back to it no matter how many times I try out another keyboard. I'm part of their beta program so I get the keyboards for free. They come with some bugs, but never really huge enough to impede everyday use.

Anybody else have Go Launcher Ex disappear after flashing GV1.3. I tried redownloading from market and had an error when it tried to install. Gonna flash my backup and start over.

Restored backup of GV1.2, no problems with Go Launcher there. Flashed GV1.3 again and same problem comes up, not sure whats going on here. Maybe a bad download? We shall see.

YESSSS!!! Not sure if it was a bad download. I restored my backup and updated Go Launcher, re-downloaded GV1.3 and flashed. All is good in the neighborhood. Thanks MTM for all your hard work!

Just to give an update guys, I have finally begun working on zv8 last night! I was in the middle of another project but finished it up now! I will be heading to the mountains for the weekend with family but I'm sure I will get some work in there, just no internet access lol. The other project has helped me learn a bit more and I will be able to apply it here!

thx for all your work mt.

quick question, just updated to GB and rooted. now how do I get clockwork back on the revo? can I still use the revotoolkit the cubed made.... I remember reading a posting of someone running into issues doing it that way but can't seem to find it now.

Yes, use Revotoolkit to install recovery. After installing, hit the check recovery version, it should be 4.0.0.2 or something like that. Then reboot into recovery.

Hello all!!! After a long 3 months, GingerVolt 2.0 is here!!!! There were MANY changes and things that I played with to get things how I liked them. Honestly, I put in the Change Log what I remembered, and will add to it as I remember the rest lol.

It is recommended to install after a complete wipe, as some apps were updated, and some were removed. I don't want to here any complaints about things force closing, battery is being drained, etc, unless a data wipe has been done. I also do not recommend using TB, etc as it can restore bad data. That is just me, and my opinions on it. Hope you enjoy!!!

P.s.: Over the last 3 days, my battery life has been AMAZING!!! They were 16hrs, 17hrs, and 22hrs. Results may vary, but that is what I have gotten.
