Last night I flashed my friends S-ON phone for her. I'm not a Doubleshot guy. Could someone confirm the steps I followed are appropriate for the best battery & stability as far as all current releases go?
1) Wiped everything.
2) Installed the boot.img from the 9.1 version of Cyanogen.
3) Rebooted to recovery.
4) Flashed the 9.1 version of Cyanogen.
5) Flashed gapps.
6) Booted to OS and let it sit for ten minutes.
7) Rebooted to recovery and flashed the A5 kernel.
After ~30 minutes of restoring various apps, the phone went to sleep and wouldn't wake up. I pulled battery for 1 minute, put back in and it still wouldn't power up. Nothing worked. No display at all.
Finally I tried going into recover and THAT worked, then I rebooted into the OS without problem and verified there was a ~70% battery charge.
She was passed out by then so I don't know how the phone is doing so far otherwise.
