[NIGHTLY][ROM][4.0.4][IMM76I] CyanogenMod 9 for Samsung Galaxy S

superuser is asking for permission all the time.. not remembering the settings..
seriously? this nightly seems to be a very stable rom! i've restored about 220 apps with tb and all works great! but i need more time to test this great release.
Camera Settings repeating + Restore default error
Open camera - Settings - camera settings while keeping the setting turn the phone vertically and horizontally you may notice that some of the setting repeat. Some times it change some of the settings while turning.
While pressing restore default in camera settings gives an error.

Can't confirm one of named bugs running latest nightly20120509...
problem with default settings existed on last builds but not on latest anymore.
also turning phone doesn't affect settings.

Please perform default settings restoration in horizontal mode. And you see failure.

yeah u r right. in horizontal mode it's crashing.

but swapping horizontal and vertical mode won't change settings here.

A fix has been merged that sounds like this:

but with the changelog site perpetually down, I can't tell what nightly it is/will be in.

Provide any additional information (observations/frequency of problem/last version it worked on/etc) as needed: when switching themes, if you pull down the notification window over the dialogue saying "switching to theme", part of the previous theme's notification (the date in previous themes colours) remains on-screen and the only part of the screen that touch input responds to us the status bar/notifications menu. Locking screen while like this leaves the lockscreen unlockable as only the notification bar or menu responds to touch.
This is repeatable so just be careful not to pull down notifications while changing themes

There is no gapps from 20120509, the latest gapps is 20120429 since there's no changes to the package since then.

No, it change settings. I use last version from 12/05/09 (in phone appears: 9-20120508-NIGHTLY-galaxymtd). If you in extended menu (were Storage; Picture size...)
Please try to swap 8-10 times from horizontal to vertical and back. And you see, that "Default Settings" disappeared and "Store location" appears twice...

Installation
- First time flashing ICS to your Galaxy S (or coming from another ROM)?
- Root your device and install ClockworkMod Recovery.
- Reboot into Recovery using 3-button-combo
- Do a Nandroid backup!
- WIPE (wipe data/factory reset + wipe cache partition)
- Install the ROM from internal sdcard using ClockworkMod Recovery
- Optionally install the Google Addon
- WIPE again or Calendar Sync will not work.
- Do a Nandroid Backup!
- WIPE (wipe data/factory reset + wipe cache partition)

Reporting Bugs
You are allowed to report bugs only in this thread. Before reporting a bug, please make sure you are running as stock as possible. This means no custom kernel, no custom framework modification, etc. If you are using any of the above modifications, please flash the rom again to get rid of the modifications before reporting.
- Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
- If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)

No, you don't need to.
You'll have the option to use your microSD card as /sdcard in Settings -> Storage -> Menu -> Storage configuration. Android by default (as HTC started it) uses the microSD card as /sdcard and internal memory as /emmc. Samsung came along and uses internal memory as /sdcard and microSD as /sdcard/external_sd. We need to standardize in CyanogenMod, so starting with this nightly, we follow the standard HTC has set, but we also give users the option to swap them if they want. When it comes to Samsung devices, users expect internal SD as /sdcard by default, to the setting is set to swapped as default.
TL;DR: Nothing changes.
The nightlies are designed to be used with the kernels that come with it only. The default preference to swap is stored in the ramdisk in the kernel which is lost if you switch kernel (and so internal SD mounts as /emmc).
