[ROM][WWE][JANUARY 30 '11] Onyx WM 6.1 (21057) + WM 6.5.x (23152) + WM 6.5 (21889)

Hi to everyone,
I downloaded Onyx 4.5 Ultimate, but when I launch CustomRUU.exe i receive ERROR[240]: FILE OPEN

I noted that .nbh file was not been extracted.

Anyone have same problem?

but i installed into my memory card.

I used version 3d for qvga with default icons ( who cares about m2d anyways ;D, i kid M2D fanboys!)

try that out, it worked for me the last time.

it would be good if dsixda removed the titanium weather software during his cooking.

because if there is a titanium cab cooked in, when titanium applications is being installed, it will OVERWRITE the cooked cab in registry. ( From my experience )

What do you use for extracting, i recommend 7-zip.
try downloading the file again.

and when copying, copy both files to desktop preferably because there is easy to access.

Please search thread -- it is normal behaviour with 6.5 on all devices. It doesn't necessarily hang.. you have to wait 1 minute. BTW if you try to restore emails then it will hang more --- I've found that restoring text messages is usually fine.

I was expecting to get the Lock screen after sleep. All I got was a black screen. I can see the phone trying to wake up, but still the black screen. Fyi, I have Smart Lock installed.

I have already mentioned before that Smart Lock is not stable. Also I can't help people with 3rd party issues.

Just gave Alexeym heads up on the new onyx 4.5 release. New language packs (revision 3.1) will be made available soon

Revision 4 packs are still in progress

Its not cooked in... it just install automatically installed in the first boot. You can remove it if you want (its listed in the Remove programs list in settings), or update it ..

To add a panel back, you could've checked first if it was removed from the reg and add it back if it did (hklm/software/microsoft/chome , in extensibilyXML entry check if TitaniumWeather is there)

Earlier today, I was surfing eBay on the quest for a new phone. Namely the HTC Touch Diamond. Then I found Onyx 4.5...

It is BRILLIANT. Previously I was on more or less stock HTC, with S2U and Home2. With a bit of fiddling (installing was a bit iffy) I got it to reset, and after I'd restored my PIM contacts and did another soft reset wow, the physical and functionality aspects of my Elf have gone through the roof!!! I love the Manilla 2D interface, YouTube built-in is just damn awesome. The weather is a MUST, I got the weather here for all the major airfields I fly at, and the speed and reliability is fenominal.

HOWEVER, one downside is that the battery quickly drained to about 60-70%. This I think was because I didn't give the Touch a full charge before I flashed it with the Onyx ROM, therefore the battery calibration is a bit messed up. An error on my part but still, I think it's recoverable.

All in all I love it. Bloody good work!! Consider a donation on it's way to you in the coming days.

Thanks DSI XSA!

I am a new ELF user. I loaded Onyx 5.0b34 the day before yesterday. I played 2 days, the only issue I found is location setup in titanium weather:
- If I use English US region setting, no problem at all
- But if I changed to Simp. Chinese PRC in region setting, I got error of 'String not closed (missing quote) Line1 (\Program Files\Tian.....):d="?

One problem I have found since install is there is no "Music" tab in the TouchFLO Today plugin. Which I'd quite like back... Is this a bug or missed out on purpose?

Hey Dsixda I'm using ur Onyx 5 beta 34 without any problems till now exept for some reason from beta 33 onwards flash in internet explorer has stopped working.. it cant play any you tube video or open any content which requires flash..
Please help..

You can always use the built-in YouTube client. That works wonders for me.

Flash used to work in IE 6 in the previous ROM's so why not now?

Does someone know how to change 'pictures & videos' default location in newesr Onyx 5.0B34? I changed my defualt 'My document' location to my storage card in Advanced Configuration. But in Onyx 5.0B34 Today, the 'Pictures & Videos' plug ony 'look' for location of 'My Device\My document\My Pictures'...

Or is there any way to change it to 'Album' which Manila 2d used?

Use the M2DC tool linked in the first post.
Once you've installed it, reenable the Music tab

Yeah , it is in the remove programs, but you cant remove.
when you press remove, it keeps coming back.
