download manager
However, download managers are not needed. They serve only the site providing the download service and/or people who are paying them (to either insert or offer additional things not related to the primary download product).
I don't have a place to host these files or I would. Maybe somebody does. If you do, please ensure the md5 matches.
Yeah, I was going to do a minimal host but I discovered that my copy was gone. I guess I decided that I no longer needed it (I don't).
Actually, I see that they are making good progress on both CM9 (with 3.0 kernel) and an updated CM7.2 - Perhaps we should just leave the links down until those are available.

ugg, holy cow, @raywaldo... ihmo, you may pity the 'poor' windoze guys, but do not spread the F.U.D. around please... ( they work for me just fine. )
Not sure what "fud" is (and afraid to ask).
Perhaps I am too old for that one (I am 68).
I don't pity anyone. We all make our choices. I just find that Ubuntu is far easier to do almost everything. I have created a video with a guide for Windows users to create and use a LIVE CD of Ubuntu that will do all these nice tricks without having to make any changes to their computer's hard drive - or stop using windows.

The issue that I presented was not about Windows - but about the un-necessary download manager. It is common knowledge that these FORCED downloads are rife with bloat - either ads or other mal-ware.
But, this is the DEV thread and we are not helping the development very much so we need to take this to the support thread if it is to continue.
