Default Awesome Apps for the L9

These are apps that I use on a daily basis that look good and run well on our device. For now I'm just going to post things that have helped me speed up my device and made it look nice! More details to come... If you have a app that you think should be included, just post away!

Leeeets begin.

Utility apps (REQURIES ROOT!!):

Pimp my Rom:

Great app to have, lots and lots of tweaks you can apply to your device that can help boost (or slow down) your device. This is really meant for advanced users who have decent knowledge on these types of tweaks.

Seeder

This is a VERY simple app, with some small reading to get you up to speed on what it does. I run this on my device all the time and have noticed a great improvement in switching between apps and redraws.

___________

***One thing to notice and remember. Pimp my Rom has a built in entropy seeder that may conflict with Seeder. During my tests I've noticed the boost that Pimp my Rom offers is the EXACT same as seeder with some more detailed tweaks to apply, but may fail to reapply on reboot and gets stuck. That's why I prefer to have the standalone app- it's small and no worries with it!

Look & Feel

In no particular order or preference, these are apps for weather, widgets, etc

1Weather

Gorgeous looking weather app with simple controls, nice animations and even widgets! Built in weather map, severe weather alerts and interesting weather facts!

Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...expressweather

Battery Widget?! Reborn

Very straightforward app- gives you nice details about battery usage, accurate discharge/charge stats and an overall clean Holo look and feel.
Google actually uses a screenshot of the main app for the nexus 4 wireless charging orb! Once we get AT LEAST 4.1 on our devices there will be more awesome notifications in store with this app.

Clock 4.2

I threw this in here because I love the clock that comes with stock 4.2 but as we all know we don't have it (and might not for a while.. lets go devs! ) and all efforts by myself and I'm sure countless others, cannot get the actual app pulled from a 4.2 device to work on our devices. So I ended up finding it on the Play store and gave it a shot. Aside from those annoying ads at the bottom (which can be removed for about .99 if you're daring) the app performs and looks great on our phone.

Sliding Messaging

If any of you pay attention to the front page of XDA, I'm sure you have seen this little gem come floating by.

I greatly dislike the stock LG texting app, dabbled in a blacked out app from an old device and finally settled on this. It's currently a work in progress and has a great developer who listens to our feedback, and has constant updates. The free version does NOT have MMS built in, it defaults to the stock texting app on our phone, and the pro version has LIMITED functionality for MMS and a couple cool new features thrown in.

Phonechievements

This one is a little on the silly side, and I'm a huge gamer so this is a plus to me. Also, WHO DOESN'T LOVE ACHIEVEMENTS?!

So you get achievements just by doing day to day things on your phone, some are a little on the extreme side, while some are easy to get. And it all looks great too!

Well I would like to add my favs to the list.

Caller Name Talker
This makes the 'smart' fones stand out from other. When you get to listen the msg without reading it or clicking anything.
and when you come to know who's calling before touching the fone (dont tell me dumb alternative of putting custom ringtones for each caller)

sorry cant post link

Personal Assistant
When you can get a assistant at your hands who will remind you to do things. Or just listen to you and act accordingly.
When you want some SIRIous assistant, this app helps a lot

sorry cant post link

Profile Manager
It helps you know your phone when not to ring and when to shout loud.

sorry cant post link

And since I don't like the physical Home button of L9, here is one of my favorites:
SwipePad https://play.google.com/store/apps/d....android&hl=en
SwipePad is a launcher panel overlay. With a single swipe action, you can launch anything from within any app. (even go to Home or turn off screen (with additional apps))
