Intentionally break phone (for righteous purposes)
Here it is:
ZTE Grand X supplied from ZTE for serbian Telenor is a unique version not used anywhere else in the world. Serbian exclusive device. And exclusively crappy.
Wont ring when call comes, freezes, crashes, SMS delivery after 40+ hours, overheating and restart and so on..
more than 3000 users who bought the device via plan asked for warranty repair and this is what Serbian telenor does:
1. flashes factory ROM
2. "replaces the board" even though many users get the phone back from repair with same IMEI (they are literally lying to customers)
3. replaces the device with a new Grand X and wont consider replacing for other device
they KNOW it is faulty, ZTE doenst want to upgrade kernel or ROM as they know it is for serbia only and many many users are stuck with this, now officially "worst android device ever"
Dont get me wrong - Serbia is pretty much lawless country which only emulates "modern european conutry" with all EU laws and regulations being putt in place only for show, not for actual practice. there IS NO real customer protection and Telenor heavily uses that kind of situation.
here are my ideas, of the top of the head:
1. heavy shock on the phone without damaging the glass: should displace BGA Matrix solder and make phone unusable and unrepairable for telenors official repair service shop. My idea was to tie it to a baseball bat somewhere below the tip, and protect it around and then smashing the tip of the baseball bat at the wall. phone would be protected, and still endure a physical shock that would displace CPU or EMMC solder via inertia .. ?
2. localized controllable burst of microwave rays - could it be done homemade ? note that I can not detach motherboard as it would void the warranty.
any ideas to achieve this .. ?
thanks all in advance!
PLEASE dont write in this thread using moral stories how I am doing something bad and so on. Telenor sold many these devices and they havent repaired or replaced a SINGLE unit so far. Any logic, moral, and common sense has left this country long time ago.
