Dude it's just a device! Be happy that we even fu*n got ICS! And now they even trying to fix the issues that are present in this new version! They already have released two other versions of this "old" devices. So i say sh*t up and be happy. or go back to HC
So you say shut up and be happy with your device rebooting randomly, multiple times a day, locking up or boot-looping and draining its battery (likely reducing its own battery life in the process), or invalidate your warranty?
None of us would be upset if Asus would do the right thing, which means PROVIDING AN OFFICIALLY SANCTIONED PATH TO ROLL BACK TO HONEYCOMB, keeping our warranty intact.
The fact that this long after becoming aware of the problem, Asus has still not done so is a confirmation that Asus doesn't consider this problem to be significant to the users experiencing it, and that they consider this product to be a toy with no real importance should data be lost and/or the user inconvenienced.

I was speaking specifically about battery life being back to HC norms (for me). And, for me, it is. I meant nothing about stability.
Gotcha, I misunderstood. Have to say, I never noticed any reduction in battery life beyond the battery perpetually being drained when I tried to use the tablet in the first place because it had hit a SoD, boot loop or lockup, but that's likely because I use my tablet so little now that the experience has been well and truly destroyed.
So I had my second RR since installing the update on Tuesday yesterday. It seems to not be that random though. In fact, thinking back, many of the reboots I have experienced seem to occur when I take the tablet away from a wi-fi connection. i.e. Leaving home to go to work or leaving work to head home. The reboots seem to happen very close to the time the tablet gets out of wi-fi range. Wonder if that info would be useful to ASUS in their troubleshooting? Sadly I won't know because they never contacted me to be a 'beta' tester.
They never contacted the majority of us; it seems they have a very small sample indeed.
For myself, that failure mode isn't remotely like mine. My tablet is at home and on wifi almost all the time these days, my wifi router hasn't been rebooted in weeks, and the tablet still reboots daily nonetheless.
