I have set a lockscreen using knock code and a photo from my gallery but I am also getting an extra lockscreen (black screen with blue font) which I have to swipe to progress. Photo of screen attached. I do not want this screen but cannot find a way to stop it. Can anyone help please.

Seems as your firmware is faulty. Try flashing stock firmware according to this guide :
