Just tried the "Slow boot fix" and it helped boot speed but then the "Move Data to SD Card" bug was back which means I had to re-flash the franco kernel to fix it.

Think I will just live with the slower boot time, not a major concern for me as phone is almost always on.

Ιf you have "Move Data to SD Card" message then delete everything from /data/sdcard and you will be ok ;)

So far, so good.

I have been testing this ROM since yesterday night, i haven't found any bugs so far and the phone is working flawlessly.

*Pros
-It's fast
-Good battery life
-Smooth feel
-Many features
-Bug Free
-Fast Camera Focus

*Cons
-Some Chinese in settings menu even after many reboots :/
-Appearance could have been better

Overall good ROM, i'm using it with franco.kernel and it's OK

I would give it 8.5/10

Why anybody needs antivirus in android? do you think they can help? :) Don't be naive.. best protection is firewall, which is included in this rom.

Thats your opinion not mine. I have an anti-virus installed because I want the extra protection, thats my choice.

Anyway problem is not sorted, must of been a problem with their servers.

Ιf you have "Move Data to SD Card" message then delete everything from /data/sdcard and you will be ok ;)

A few people have said this but never works for me.

Not a problem as re-flashing the Franco Kernel fixed it :)

First issue with this rom after few days of usage, battery was about 40% and then I made one 3 minute phone call and my battery dropped to 2% and I had to recharge it. What's up with that?

Wipe your battery stats.

I get similar things with other MIUI ROM's (I have tried several, all seem to do this for me).
A battery-stats wipe is something I do with every new ROM, so that's not the answer.

It happened to my phone today. Battery was at 46% and after a phone call, battery dropped to 14%, but it stayed in 14% until now (and continues, after like 6 hours).

But this already happened to me with other ROM's, so its not a big deal.

Yeap, the eternal discuss around phones... BATTERY! Is the weakness of ANDROID!

It's quite big deal because if you have data or wifi on it drains battery in few minutes and then you are stuck without phone. Reboot doesn't help either.

If your phone is idle at that time then is not a big deal, I agree.

I allways have the Wi-Fi home (turn off only at night), and the battery lasts 1.5 days minimum (even with that "battery bug"). Yesterday, it dropped from 46% to 14% during a phone call and stayed at 14% until I decided to charge the phone (after about 9 hours the dropping happened).

It says it is 14%, but really it isn't. So, try do another battery calibration. If the problem persists, you just have to live with it :|

I am currently running Oxygen 2.3.2(android version 2.3.7, build number GWK), and have never had the official 2.3 on my phone. Do i still have to reflash my phone to the B138 or B163 stock ROM before flashing this ROM? if yes, where do i download it?

edit: also, it says i need CWM 5.0.2.3. does it matter if i have 5.0.2.6? (sorry if i am asking stupid questions, i just like to be sure so i don't brick my phone :p

You dont need to flash official. But if you have anu problems, then flash b138 and try again.
Use 5.0.2.6. Worked for me.

That has not been my experience, I am sticking with this rom precisely because bluetooth performance is so good. It is better than oxygen which was my previous rom. With oxygen, connection was very slow and voice was very distorted for me so eliterom is a breath of fresh air with near instant phonebook upload and great sound.

hi
I have the last CM7 from November with .32 kernel. My internal memory is only 1.45GB, because I partitioning the disk. Must I need to put the original size of internal memory before to go to android 2.2? Or can I install this rom without installing 2.2 first?

PDOID-IPTAL (uninstall) addon for Multilanguage Framework:
    http://www.mediafire.com/?gugh2bfe7d5uku7 (17 mb)

    Requirements:
.32 kernel B138 or B163 stock ROM must be installed.
    CWM 5.0.2.3

the point is to downgrade from 2.3 to 2.2.
Maybe this might help clearly.Just Terramino(rom complier)claims that 2.3 is like a poison ivy covers your device very tight;so repeat the loading 2.2 action 3 times for better clean.

Downgrade from 2.3.5 back to 2.2.2

    1) Download U8800 V100R001C00B138SP04 (Overseas General) Android 2.2.2
    2) Extract the "dload" folder and copy it (along with its contents) to the ROOT of the SD Card.
    3) Turn on your U8800 while holding [VOL-] and [VOL+] and the Android 2.2.2 install should start.
    4) Once finished you should be back to 2.2.2.
    5) If you phone does not boot correctly power on phone while holding [VOL+] to boot into recovery and Reset to factory defaults.
    6) Delete the "dload" folder from the SD Card.

    important!
Even if you don't wipe data/factory reset, the rom will automatically delete all user data by itself,so backup all your applications, sms, call logs...etc. if necessary

    INSTALLING:
    - Wipe data/factory reset
    - Wipe Cache partition
    - Advanced -> Wipe Dalvik Cache
    - Mounts and Storage -> "mount /system"
    - Mounts and Storage -> "format /system"
Finally install zip from sdcard -> select ROM file

After installed, go to Spare Parts and run it. Then choose Window animations and Transition animations options to Fast. In this way, the desktop will have increased fluency.

(PS: This ROM from a Turkish site Donanim Haber (the largest forum in Turkey). Terramino the ROM developer, ROM publishing for a long time in this forum. At the same time, many users use this ROM. Is not new.
I am not the ROM developer to provide answers to your questions in time. I hope you will understand.)

More fast boot patch (for v9.6!)
    Problem solved.

    Currently booting 30 - 38 seconds.

    Does this be enough?

I prepared a small patch file. May friends who want to install from the link below.

    http://www.mediafire.com/?c9472wjul05vmb9 (Install on CWM)

Dalvik Cache cleaned and re-adjusted during installation. For this reason, the phone still will be slow during the initial boot. Shut down and restart the phone after first opening. Now you see the opening of the phone quickly, around 30-38 seconds.

Alternative kernels for Elite ROM v9.6

Elite rom's alternative kernels:You may want to try for different purposes.

Franco Kernel: Last franco,(most know its fame)If you want high performance use with 3d drivers.
    Suggested cpu:600-1024 smartassv2.(Tether doesn't work with Franco)

Stockwell Kernel(Elite comes with this): If you prefer tethering, then use this kernel.(native usb tethering works, wifi tethering may need an app like Barnacle). If you prefer 3d drivers, then use 368-1024 smartassv2.If you want longer battery choose 368-600 smartassv2.(It'll be still fast).During video recording, use 544-1024 conservative, after shoot return 368-1024 smartassv2.

Stockwell Kernel 2: A modified version of Stockwell kernel.Battery performance is better.Tether may not work,so test on your own phone if you need tethering.Suggested speed 368-1024 conservative. If you want more battery life, prefer 368-600 conservative(It'll be still fast).During video recording prefer 544-1024 conservative, after that you can return 368-1024 conservative.

Ps:Guys,in our forum all users are really happy with this Elite both with three kernels.Everybody is reporting really high battery performance.Don't hesitate to try which will be more suitable for you.

Hello to everyone. I'am TerraMino from Donanımhaber forum.

I prepared this ROM for my specific needs. Then I saw u8800 phone complaints about the forums post.

So I decided to share with Elite ROM. Then with the evolving recommendations from users, we went a little further each day.

    Here, we are here today.

Elite ROM uses a lot of friends in our forum. I hope you also enjoy.

PS: My English is not very good. I received support for Google Translate.
