When im in a call and i hit the power button it ends the call. How do i fix this?

Also idk if anyone else is gettin this but sometimes then notification light comes on when there are no notifitions

Edit: i also get "couldnt send message" A LOT. Pretty much everyday.

In gallery, when u go to menu>make available offline and click on it, it glitches out for a second before going to the next screen. And at least for me, the option really does nothing when i click on one for "offline" use.
Also in gallery, when u go to settings nothing is in there.. theres no settings at all.

Idk if anyone posted about any of this in earlier posts but i certainly havent seen anything.

I've seen a few MINOR bugs myself will try to post them tonight

I just wanted to try this rom for a little and go back to Coindroid sense 4, but **** that, this is much more smooth, and better. Bluetooth works, I'm keeping this but since this is still based of the HTC framework I was wondering if it's possible to port over the messages app and music app. Can I just move them to system from another rom, and change permissions or its not capable with each other?
Thanks again.

Its not compatible. There is a Sense 3.6 mms.apk themed to look like Sense 4 though. As for the music application, I'm not really sure if that's compatible or not. My guess would be no though.

Something strange just happened now. I was flipping from one app to another, the phone went into reboot. The battery went from 61% to 37% when it started back up.
I'm running v4.0.2.

This has been happening to me almost constantly since I updated from 4.0.1 to 4.0.2. It was running exceptionally well and now all of a sudden my phone will constantly shut off or reboot and my battery level will flip flop all over the place.

Anyone else experiencing these random reboots after upgrading?

@rmk Will there be an update to the base when the new tmous rom/radio are released? I would love to have a great tmous based rom. :D Or at least we will have a better radio to work with.

Yeah I had this happen to me not sure why though but a fresh format fixes the issue. It only started when i upgraded to VI4.0.0 and above though which is strange and I like the ROM too much to go anywhere else lol

It's nothing to do with the battery being calibrated as suggested a few posts ago as I can have a full battery, android know it has a full battery and it still do it.

Android isn't the best at measuring the level of you battery (even more so it seems if the battery isn't stock) and those fluctuations will happen. I only calibrate every couple of weeks but I generally flash again every month it seems or sooner.

thanks for this rom.

btw is there a chance that i can replace the stock MMS and DIALER toa black theme? help please thanks

I'm currently looking into this myself, so far I have found that the MMS, Gmail, Email and Calendar APK's from http://rootzwiki.com/topic/15092-invertedtotally-inverted-apps-4-22-contacts-and-mms-updated/ - I havent tested all the apks in the thread but the contacts APK removes the phone icon from the app draw! and reverts like the others when I try to restore phone.apk

They install and work but as soon as you reboot the device it reverts back to the originals

I have tried:
Flashing the .zips in 4EXT
Installing over ADB
Installing via Droid Explorer

Edit: Changed url

Is there a way to have the ics recent apps on the search button?
I only have the standard on my search button.
Thanks in advance.

Anyone else having trouble with the brightness? I mentioned it in an earlier post but now its happening elsewhere. I was going through my emails and while it was "loading" the brightness automatically adjusted itself. And i have that option turned off.

+1, I have noticed that the brightness toggle in the status bar fails somehow to communicate with the system on some occasions.
It's very sporadic though.
My advice to the above member, is to use the brightness control in the main settings for now.
(I am using Stock Kernel).

But, this Rom is Fantastic in all other departments. Continued thanks to the Dev team.

Regards.

I have noticed auto brightness kicking in while watching YouTube videos. Also I have been having issues waking the phone it takes a few seconds sometimes for the back light to kick in. All have been with Sebastian's 1.4.1 kernel.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet but the new update for nova launchers allows widgets to be in the bottom dock so feel free to go download this app:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kanokgems.smswidget&hl=en

Works awesome on my phone and I love it.

Virtuous Inquisition is a an ICS (4.0.3) Senseless ROM, meaning essentially all Sense components have been removed in favor of their AOSP counterparts. Everything except the camera app has been replaced. Any work, such as mods or fixes, you would like to contribute would be gladly accepted. The project has one goal, to provide a ROM which is as close-to-AOSP-ICS as possible.

    • Based off the HTC 3.32.401.5 *release* base.

    • Sense has effectively been removed. Some components may be coming back (such as the camera and music player), as they are better than their AOSP counterparts. I'll provide an option for purists who want AOSP-only-no-matter-what.

    • Remaining HTC framework beautifully themed to match ICS by shnizlon.

    • Stock kernel, not overclocked.

    • Pre-rooted with the latest version of Superuser and modified ramdisk to allow adb remount, mock locations, etc.

    • IO optimizations including the use of ext4 with writeback journaling for all mounts and larger read-ahead buffer for improved sdcard performance.

    • Automated battery calibration. Just plug your phone in after a wipe and charge it to full (preferably overnight), then let our script do the rest.

    • Over the air updates via ROM Manager.

    VI 4.0.2 Goodies by Socali

This post will kept updated with Fixes / Patches / Notes for VI 4.0.2 by Socali

    =====

Important Kernel Files Reset for VI 4.0.2 by Socali

SebastianFM Kernel v1.4.1, which is included with VI 4.0.2, comes with Sebastian's own thermald.
This thermald includes, in my opinion, extremely high temps settings. The problem is that those settings are hard-coded and are not read from the thermald.conf file.
Other kernels are expecting the default thermald and not this custom one, so they are not overwriting it.

I strongly recommend flashing this before flashing any other kernel. Even in-between flashing different kernels, as different kernels might include other files that need to be replaced/removed.
This patch will reset kernel related files that exist in the ROM's partition to the original HTC v3.32 default files.
This does not include an actual kernel - you must flash a kernel after this patch and before rebooting the phone.

Sebastian Kernel v1.30.2 Underclocked to 1.242Mhz for VI 4.0.2 by Socali

(This is the same kernel posted by me before, but in a new package that includes the Kernel Reset Patch, so you can simply download and flash one file.)

This is Sebastian Kernel v1.30.2 hexedited by me to underclock it to 1.242Mhz with a safer (or more conservative) thermald.conf file.
This gives you kernel closest to the original HTC v3.32 one with Sebastian's MultiTouch fix and ZRAM support.
I prefer keeping the CPU clock at 1.2mhz so that the CPU stays stable and cool and doesn't drain the battery as quickly.
I hexedited it instead of recompiling so that I stay as close as possible to Sebastian's build.

Note: This kernel will give you lower benchmark scores (about 5700-5800 AnTuTu score on my phone). This is not a bug, it's a feature..

    Download flashable: kernel-v1.30.2-uc-1.242mhz-socali.zip

AOSP Phone With Mute Fix for VI 4.0.0 by Socali

This is my fix to the AOSP Phone included with VI 4.0.0, that enables the mute button during calls.
This one took a lot of time and research, but I finally got it! :D
(For those who didn't know, the phone included in the rom does not mute - bug #984 on VI issue tracker)
