[Q] Help. Downgrade problem with flashtools on Xperia Play.
I am having a very hard time trying to get root access to my Xperia Play.
Xperia Play R800i
Android 2.3.4
4.0.2.A.0.69
Bootloader unlocked
From what I could gather from this forum, I need to downgrade to 0.42 so I can use zergRush exploit by Doomlord, or Super One Click.
See, I have no interest in using custom ROMs. Actually, I would like to stay exactly with my stock rom, but with the root access to manage and save space in the internal memory of the phone.
But I cant seem to get Flashtools to work.
I have downloaded the Xperia Play (R800i)_4.0.2.A.0.42_TW.ftf file and it
seems legit.
I also downloaded a recent version of Flash tools .
Here is the log of flashtools

I have installed the drivers for the Xperia Play from Flashtool drivers.
I am not in MTP mode. I am positive that it is in MSC.
I correctly plugged my device in flash mode.
I am on Windows 7.
I dont know what I am doing wrong.
Please, please, please, can someone more experienced lend a hand?
Thanks a lot.
