I believe is your router the one that is disconnecting you. I have no issues here, sorry, If I dont have the issue, impossible for me to solve.
Check your router settings pls.

I had the issue of wifi disconnecting but like every 3 hours or so. Using 2.3.7 wpa supplicant files seems to have solved the problem for me. I read in the OverCome thread that Belkin routers do have that incompatibility issue.
Actually, from my point of view, wifi drivers in 2.3.6 are buggy overall (we had that same probelm with some routers and some security settings in the S2 ROM aswell).
If you guys want to get into the bottom of this, we would need to know the following.
ROM
Kernel
Router model
Protection used in router (WPA WEP, etc, etc)

That could help us all (all tab community) to nail down the issues to a specific brand of routers or security settings used. We did that in the S2 threads and nailed it down already.

getting stuck at boot screen :(

Hi!

I have tried several times to flash the ROM with no success. It gets stuck at boot up screen where it shows Galaxy Tab and Samsung at the bottom.

Any advice and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

that is either a bad download or a failure in the install process.

ThePittbull made a great intallation guide for custom roms in tab, i would follow that in your case (heck that is the one i follow :p)

Congratulations on the ROM. Very good job. The problem with wifi, is widespread in the stock 2.3.6 ... in the bad makes automatic reconnection. The manual has to be Overcome 4.1.

I have a belkin . :-( .now i use oc 4.0.i try oc 4.1.0 and androidmead 1.0,i update with the jpz and jmf modem.problem persist.with oc 4.0 i have not problem with wifi.help me please

No you dont have a problem with 4.0 cause it is not android 2.3.6 i believe?
Anyway, read that thread, there was a workaround with static ip address, or lease i believe. I am not sure avbut that.
If it were in my hands i would help you. We could try android 2.3.7 wifi libraries along wpa supplicants aswell. Dowbload cm7 for the galaxy tab (cwm zip file) I will tell you which files to replace and lets try if we are lucky.

Using a static IP instead of DHCP is a fix, along with setting the DHCP lease time to something other then forever I believe. On Overcome 4.1.0, I'm not too sure if the WPA supplement file fix is needed or not. Not sure if there is anything else that could fix this or not though, or if those 2 fixes are "definite" fixes.

In any case, wireless has worked fine on my tab on my Westell wireless modem with WPA2-PSK.

Thabk you, I was waiting for someone more uptodate tabwise than muself to update us, anyhow, changing wifi libs along wpa supplicants could work, lets give that a shot.

Thank you for great work, yesterday I used OC arabic patch and I don't know why the tab just stay in boot logo with no ability to enter recovery mode, so I restock via odin then install the rom, the rom is so smooth and fast and the RTL arabic patch is ok,

I just wonder about the pop up when you long press a word for select word,copy, paste is not shown full with mdpi, is it just for me or it is a common issue with mdpi.

It seems to be a common issue, i have it too, probably something to resize but i can live with it.

greeting. I see that someone complained to the work market in this ROM. means very very slow read and navigate through the market is very slow, is there a cure for this to be fixed? I am very satisfied with the other, excellent battery, maybe a little to increase the resolution? best regards from the Balkans.

Hmm, I guess the experience would vary then, but my Market works great without problem.

Did you try using Task Manager to close out any open applications and clear RAM maybe? Is your internet of decent speeds? Maybe try wiping cache from CWM even :)

    Hello all, While developing for the HD2 & S2, we (af974 and me) though it would be nice to bring some HyperDroid love for my Galaxy Tab as well.

    We have been using this ROM for the past weeks and I though it was very selfish of me not to share here at XDA.
    This ROM is intended for my personal use, the ROM was never built with the intention of being released, please take that into consideration before requesting or reporting bugs. This is a shared work from af974 and me with you guys. I hope you find it as joyful as we have. :)
