And Thanks to yuweng for his auto port tool & most importantly, Master Shifu carliv for looking into those ubifs source code to make it work on MTK devices....

Solution to cannot see whole sdcard is here by Master Shifu himself, it is actually a new feature/ function... :laugh:

The recovery.img for ctr 2.2 ubifs should i or can install that in mobi uncle tools

can u please upload the ported image of CTR 2.2 for UBIFS because m nt able to port the recovery..i have tried both methods manaual and auto porting..i always gives the error..cannoy unpack the recovery image..m nt a noob..i have even tried TWRP recovery..it does not boots up..phone boots up with a black screen and then a normal bootup..i have tried flashing TWRP by both methods..Mobile uncle tools and Sp flash tool..but same problem..persists..plzzzz upload the ported CTR 2.2 Image..may be that could help..

The version 2.2 is which i provided here is ported recovery.img you can directly flash on yours a58

I have downloaded the CTR v2.2 ported by you but don't know how to use it (it is an .img file, i earlier had samsung that used .zip files for flashing through recovery). Can u lead me to any guide ( or tell me ) how to flash this image?

Put the image in sd card.
Dwnload mobile uncle tools..open it select flash recovery from sd card..slct the image from sd card..done..reboot to recvery...vol up+pwr

oh thats the nice idea, its not necessary that u need a cwm before procedding.. it works even if you have stock recovery,

Hey, i know i am being a child but i do need help.
So I tried CTR v2.4.
After completing the procedure, i got 2 recovery files:
1. Backup of original recovery (8MB)
2. Ported recovery (5.5MB)

The installer asked me to push the recovery to phone and i selected yes. But the phone doesn't boot into recovery (i get a normal restart). I think i already have a corrupt stock recovery.

if you feel, that your recovery might be corrupted flash stock recovery using SP-Tools, and in 2.4 tool choose auto port method, the porting will be simpler than ever, since you need to cick ok whenver log displayed :p ..

I doubt that the recpvery i backed up may also be corrupt... Now i have 2 options:
1) either i download stock recovery from some other source
2) Flash CTR ported by u through SP Flash Tool ( is it possible?)
