ROM installation has anything to do with SD card?
If yes then could it be because I have it partitioned?
P.S. I have the same problem as O/P

coz mine's experiencing same problem too, but i'm using Galaxy Ace

can only flash through Odin (stock rom only), and after flashed custom rom, stuck at boot logo

sir what is your present rom and what custom rom your flashing?

based on my experience

i had same problems.

after flashing different roms there KERNELS were never been replaced by other custom roms. (some do replace it)

For example if you were on BAZ rom then you wana flash creeds rom you may be stuck on the samsung logo/boot animation reason is the KERNEL so you need a stock kernel to successfully flash creeds rom.

so before flashing any roms/kernel it would be a smart move to back up all your files.

to back up your stock kernel. look into the dev section thread and look for TOOL back up stock kernel by chamath


in your case sir try using other cwm use madteam, meroc or skins cwm.


before you flash a custom rom try to data reset phone in stock recovery and delete cache also. before updating to cwm.

if it will not work. try this


use this nandroid back up then flash a rom.
