Datacreate.apk asking for superuser access

On an LT4 rom. Not seen that happen before. Apparently the file comes from Samsung, which makes it odd that it's asking for su. Am I being paranoid?

Same thing is happening to me.

Are you rooted and/or running a custom kernel like Philz etc?

If you didn't install a ROM (as in you are running stock JB perhaps with Philz Kernel) then just deny it. There is no reason for any of their applications to ask for SU.

Yeah, rooted and running with the latest speed mod.

I denied it of course, just wondered if it was a sign that the rom cook was up to no good haha.

Same thing just happened to me on Varun's LT4 with Hello World kernel.

I have been getting the same thing on stock DDLSC rooted with Philz kernel, superuser has been asking for datacreate and also phone dialer storage, i denied it, but why would it ask for permissions for these things?

solution

download super su from playstore and install it the superuser is causing these problems
