yeah im on simple moble in the usa im not able to send or receve text messages i wated to see if maby it was my sim card so i put it in another phone and tryed it and it woked fine but not in my hd2 running wp7.8 its realy dirving me nuts any idias what could be wrong??????????

did you try Connection Setup?
did you check SMS center number in messaging settings?

how old your SIM card? try change for new. your operator must change SIM card for free... changing SIM card for new helped for some people in my country who have problems with data connections but maybe helps with SMS also

After testing for a few days (2 weeks I think) I can say, best rom ever for the HD2.

No GPS problems (I use navigon)
Battery (fully charged) can go easly 2 days (with 3G on all day and wifi off and sync on every 1 hour)
Overal smoothness is great (Y)

still not working

I'm still can't get Nokia city lens to work change hd2 to lumia and the other change to Nokia, using 8.5 is there something that I'm not doing??? All other Nokia programs working.....:'(

Data Connection port 80 works, all else fails

IE woks fine and can browse the web. Any other data connection fails.
1. Market fails to connect.
2. Live ID fails to connect
3. Email fails to connect (Live, Google and Exchange)

Wireless works fine but cell fails. Any ideas?

did you make hard reset after flashing?
did you give root access permissions?
did you have Live activation code?

Yes to all three. Everything works great over Wi-Fi. Activated, download apps from the market. Setup email ext.... As soon as I disable wifi, I can only browse the web. All other "data" fails to connect. Regardless of how strong or weak my signal is I get the same results. Same phone, same radio works fine on android. I do not, however, want to go back to android..

BTW: Mt Carrier is Straight Talk, anyone else using them?

so straight talk has sim cards you can use on hd2? if so how much is 3g unlimeted talk text & data?

$45/month. You can get a TMobile or ATT SIM. Of course, with the HD2 get the TMobile.The data is not truly unlimited, if you use "too much" you'll get a call warning you and you may get cancelled. I got a call once after streaming music and podcasts all month at work

i think i know whats wrong, does anyone the solution

I seen that there is many programs in root manager but the one I don't see is Nokia city lens and the phone is not letting the program open....does anyone have a solution to this I'm on 8.5 rename to lumia and Nokia still not working

Love this ROM, simply LOVE it! Everything pretty much works, the Home screen had never looked better, the only problem was to decide how I want it to look with all the options and Supreme Shortcuts. Really appreciated Theme color choices

hmm i have simple moble and i only pay 40 a month for truly unlimeted everythang, thats the best deal i have found also simle moble uses tmobles towers so everythang pritty much the same.i got a free sim card from pin zoo to get started best caryer i have ever had!

Correct camera trick

Hi.

I can't install the HTC battery Tool now for testing battery drainage. I've read through this whole thread to find out the correct wya to do the "Camera Trick". There seems to be a lot of different opinions on what the correct/minimum procedure needed for this trick. The latest input seems to be:

1. Open Leo Advanced, select Key Map and choose Focus Down for the Green Key (and reboot).
2. Open Camera
3. Switch to video
4. Wait for lense to focus
5. Press Focus Down (Green key)
6. Press the Home button

Is this the correct procedure? I'm a bit confused as I've found at least three other guides for this camera trick. Also, when I press Focus Down in step 5 the camera starts recording... Is this correct behavior???

Also, Radios 2.12 or 2.15 must be used in combination with 5.51 right?

pdaimatejam told he forgot to put radio 5.51. You must do by yourself or ose my version with 5.51

Right procedure but focus down not mapped in keys, you must do first this with LEO Advanced

What are the advantages of using 5.71 radio vs 5.51? Most of the devs use it in their releases, so there must be a reason.
