constantly rebooting, Tablet in read only mode !!!
Hi All,
I got the Galaxy Tab 3, 7 inches (SM210) from my father, who had not been using it for long as it was constantly giving google services errors.
I did a factory reset, deleting all data and the errors continue the same after putting my google credentials.
So I decided to look for alternatives firmwares which, lead me to this thread.
I installed SEALv4, following the instructions at the beginning of this thread and I found it was fast, shiny an agile. At the beginning the colours were wrong, but then I installed the kernel indicated at the beginning and the colours issues got solved.
Then I put the Google credentials, start to update the google services and apps, and then while doing that the tablet started to restart constantly. Actually it is now stacked when updating youtube... and remains in this state always, it tries to update and after a while reboots, and Seals boots again, start to update and crash ... useless loop.
Then I tried to wipe the different partitions, I have tried to flash new roms, install other apps ... and nothing changes, it is like the Tab has become in an eternal read only state, where nothing you do in the recovery menu (TWRP 3.0) becomes permanent, it is like useless, nothing gives errors, unless I tried to resize the partitions with the Advanced Wipe, changing the file systems from ext4 to ext3 is useless, when you come back again to the properties of the file system you still see the same.
I suspect the Tablet is also in ReadOnly when working normally (outside the recovery mode) and this is why everything fails and reboots.
I can connect it to the computer, transfer a file via the USB cable for instance to the Download folder of the internal memory, but when it restarts again, the files are gone, so the Tablet is in some short of read only, do not change me ... that makes it useless.
So my tablet is with SEAL and it seems it will always be, but in an useless mode, as it constantly restarts ..
Could anyone help in telling me how to get out of this eternal read only mode?
