ABOUT :

This ROM is aimed towards stability. This ROM is the closest that can get to a STOCK AOSP ROM. No bloatwares(including cm bloatwares). If you seek customization go for carbon,probam,RR roms. If you seek, performance&gaming you came to the right place. This can be said as a gaming ROM for hardcore gamer.

Bluetooth

Calls

SMS

Camera

Proximity

Sensors

etc etc which are not mentioned in not working section

Not Working :

Only Primary SIM slot works

Screen recording does not work

Other BUGS which are on pawitp's cm11

Features :

Tweaks (alot!!)

Build.prop tweaks

media tweaks

GPU rendering tweaks

Init.d tweaks for smooth UI (more will be added with the upcoming updates)

Removed all bloatwares

Hangouts is the primary messaging app

CyanogenMod Gallery

OTA updater

All other features on cm11 are present in this ROM

How to Install :

Download and flash the latest cwm recovery by pawitp or xenon92

Reboot into cwm by 3 button combo

Select data/factory reset

Select wipe cache partition

Select advanced > wipe dalvik cache

Go back > mounts and storage > format system

Go back > install zip from sdcard or sdcard1 > choose the kitkat-x rom

Now flash the gapps same way

Go back > Select reboot system now

Gapps - Download the one which has Google Home in it because the launcher is not included in the ROM like this one - link

If your gapps does not contain GoogleHome download and flash the Nova Launcher. (attachement!)

err.....

OTA Updates :

My Internet connection is awefully SLOW, so I thought of providing you all with OTA updates. OTA update seems to be working well but with one issue.
It is not compatible with the latest recovery.

How To Update:

A notification will popup that OTA update is available! Click on it.

Download the OTA update

Now it will say do you want to install zip. Click on Cancel.

Now navigate to extsdcard(sdcard1)/OTA-updater/downloads

You will see the update package. Copy it to the root of sdcard(But do not keep in that folder and flash. It will show signature error)

Flash it via CWM

Thats all !!

i need to know about the OTA update so, we have to put the DOWNLOADED data in WHERE? and then simply FLASH it via CWM that's it right? or we also have to delete that file after flashing?

put your downloaded file to ext sdcard , and flash that zip via CWM manually . yes you can keep that zip file after flashing , you also can delete it after flashing

Battery life ?!? Bit confused as battery life should improved as it has no boltwares but at the same time it has performance tweaks

* After you download OTA cancel flash because the OTA updater does not support latest recovery.
* Go to sdcard1/OTA-updater/downloads there will be a zip with OTA version name
* Copy it to wherever you want and remember the place
* Flash it via cwm

I am pushing an OTA update now missed clock app(how foolish am I to miss that app

) and some init.d scripts now. You'll come to know it once you have done the step

Edit: In next OTA I will force the app not to ask if you want to flash. To avoid casualities.

I was actually making a Mediafire mirror too, but you beat me to it... :silly:

edit: Has anyone tested this ROM on benchmarks and see if it really lives up to its expectation as a performance-oriented ROM?

Thanks for this ROM, you covered all the tweaks I usually add to my build.prop

The only tweak you missed is toggling "dalvik.vm.heapstartsize=8m" (Default is 5m), "dalvik.vm.heapgrowthlimit=64m" (Default is 48m) and "dalvik.vm.heapsize=256m" (Default is 128m), for app performance.
I'm looking forward to checking what other tweaks you implemented, good work! :good:

EDIT : Forgot to ask if the OTA updates are going to be like pawitp's Delta updates? Are they gonna give a status error during the flash if the system settings are altered, because I run my phone on 150-160 DPI?
